As expected, giving 5 million dollar a year, six-year deal, to Zadorov was probably not a good idea. This guy is a 3.5 million dollar guy all day long. But I'd take him as a third pairing guy on the Canucks at that price. The Bruins are a sinking ship, but they had a good run.

Rags have a way of derailing prospects & he is just 1 more on the heap. After Shesterkin & Kreider all key players came via trade or UFA.

It's a decent deal and yes Lafreniere did have a decent year last year but wildly inconsistent around that. If we are giving up 100 points we just need a bit more coming back IMO.

Deserved? I doubt you ever played any tough hockey. I had 2 front teeth broken playing it. Back then cheap shots were the norm not now. Stick to the perimeter wrist shots.

Skating & skills were pretty good but my size made it a strange choice & branded as a D only. In my last tourney was kneed breaking up a rush at my blueline & was going in on a clean break away til he stuck out his knee. Missed 2mths of the season. Massive hematoma to my right quad ended any chance of Jr hockey. 1mth in bed til fully reattached. 16yr olds didn’t have large windows back then. As a small D even worse chances if left at C then a maybe. My style was like Ken Linseman as my closest comp. Never know if drafted & would of never made it past Jr hockey

Spectating sucked. BWC won the tourney over NSWC

A few hockey buddies were scouted for Jr hockey back in the day. 1 bud was told no gf’s or smoking if you want us to draft you. He said take a leap. Another was just told we want you…Bubba Beck. The others were drafted but never played.
