I wonder if there is a mcCabe like deal for a RHD with term. That deal was their best TDL add in a long time.

Technically it is still an add for this year with him being 2M still.

Go back to the well for Connor Murphy?

EF mentioned Oleksiak on the radio yesterday, who I know for certain plays both sides well the past few years. Not too up to date with his play this season.

that will cost a 1st round pick like it did the Leafs.

Yeah a 1st round pick 2 years into the future.

Good thing they have a 2026 and 2027 1st round pick.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Reilly is basically unmovable:
1) Trade protection
2) Overpaid
3) Underperforming
Do we really want to add a sweetener to dump him? With how many years left, and his AAV, it's going to be an expensive move.

I do think it's kinda cool that the Leafs are one of the only teams without any buyout/retained cap hits. Lets keep it that way.

Your WTF? Leafs stat, courtesy of the Athletic:

The Maple Leafs are getting plenty of experience clinging to narrow advantages, which seems to be paying off. The team is 16-1-0 when leading after the first and 20-0-0 when ahead after two periods.

I think it's safe to say this is the best the Leafs have looked since their core players joined the team.

If the goaltenders stay healthy and the stars somehow play to their potential in the playoffs, things could get interesting very quickly in Toronto.

None of the political bullpoop that is posted in here regardless of if it's right or left leaning needs to be said. The post your praising as 'needed to be said' is the height of hypocrisy but you knew this because it likely aligns with what you think or feel.

The post was political and then proceeded with "only talk hockey in here" which really means "I wanted to voice my opinion but don't want anyone else to post anything contrary to it" which is the exact problem in here.

If everyone just stopped posting about politics regardless of which way they think, feel or believe and stuck to talking hockey that would be what needs to be said.

This place is not a place where politics is supposed to be discussed and it needs to used that way and moderated as such.

If not that then do many who don't want to read it a favour and create a sub topic (or use an old blog comment section) on politics and let everyone who wants to 'debate' (and I use that term very loosely because I see none of that here, only pathetic and childish name calling towards those who have an opposing view again both "left" and "right" and neither is less guilty of this than the other) do it there all they want.

Politics Buzz sucks

Nice win for the Leafs.
Had some shaky moments but they came through.
Nice game by Woll.
Onto the next game.

I honestly prefer the Prime broadcast, while technical quality isnt there just yet, its much better than what Sportsnet put together and who we have to listen to there.
IMO

Came home at the end of the 2nd. Wife had changed the Prime password.
Luckily she woke up and our house is still intact.

You think Philly is retaining 3.8M until 2030?

I find having the games on Prime to be very annoying - you can't bounce back and forth between channels.

I was trying to watch the college football championship and the Leafs game at the same time - every time I would switch back to Prime on my Bell receiver, I'd have to to through 20 different screens to bet back to the game.

I ended up watching the Leafs on my iPad, and football on the TV.

Yikes!

CAA is a worthy investment for the peace of mind, even if you don't use it all year IMO.

My wife has the gold CAA membership (whatever that means) and we have used it almost every other year for something. We needed a new battery in her ride one year and the battery cost was cheaper through CAA than anywhere else - they charged something like $50 to install it. So after the savings on the battery it cost us something like $20 to have them deliver the batter to us, install it and haul away the old one.

Money well spent since it was in Jan and cold as anything outside!

My dad just got it because he had to pay $200 once to tow his car from his house about 5 kms away to his mechanic. He was right pissed

Did you comment politically or is this you giving an example of what people post on here - because this is the exact type of bullpoop that doesn't belong on here.

"Everything I said it truth, eat a Richard" give it a (frank)ing break and go find a political message board or go to facebook or twitter to argue with people on and let the people who came here to read/talk predominately about hockey but certainly not about politics do so FFS.

He has always shown up in the playoffs for the most part. I don't really care how he plays right now.

However I am not worrying about Rielly until after the season is over.

There are about 8 teams fighting for the two wildcard spots.

Should be an exciting race to see who eliminates Toronto in the first ro... I MEAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

If, by some miracle, the toilet seats sneak into the playoffs and match up against the Leafs, we could spot you 3 goals per game to make it interesting

Stop this right now! It has a very "We want Florida" vibe and we all know how that ended!

Although the Leafs playoff history lately at holding a lead isn't great so maybe spotting one to the other team is the path to success?
