never expected to sign sasaki..said he was going to the dodgers the whole time.
but trading for a 12 mil minor league bat is a choice..when you didnt even know if you were getting him.. - senstroll
I know nothing about baseball, but you and every other Jays fan seems pretty depressed every off season |

Jays with an alltime face plant
everyone going to the Dodgers . shocker - senstroll
So looks like most teams are missing out on players just like the jays.
Atkins needs to be let go, he seems like a big issue. |

Not true. Only last year and so far this year.
For several years prior, the jays landed most players they wanted, even the top end ones.
I wasnt expecting ohtani or soto at all, so was o issue. But the plan b's, c's, and d's have been dispointing so far. |

To me the Refs not calling a penalty before the suspendable incident should and never has had any influence on the duration of a suspension. If Mc David or any player decides to do the dumb thing they can suffer the appropriate consequences.
Otherwise this card will be played at pretty much every call or hearing with the league (hell it probably is) and be ignored because we know the NHL loathes the thought of admitting their officials screw things up. - Cush29
Oh i know it has no influence at all and never will.
But garland is fine, it looked like he got mostly glove, so 2 games and move on. McD isnt a leafs so he doesnt deserve 3 or more games. |

Here's all you need to know:
The Blue Jays and 29 other teams have been adding areas in their stadiums so that you can do stuff other than watch the game. |

It is bad for baseball imo
I see the people saying other owners should be like the Dodgers but that is like thinking your one super cheap friend will wake up one day not being cheap
Also each owner has vast different amounts of net worth |

annoyed is a better word for my feelings.
the jays can be a playoff team again with a couple more moves, and im sure they will do that. but missing on all the top targets ..

There needs to be a happy medium.
Big market teams should be allowed to spend a little more - they are generating the money. And it's also good for the league when the big, bad teams are competitive - you may love them or hate them, but you'll still watch.
But there needs to be an upper limit, or you get the Scottish Premier League - why anybody would ever watch that poop is beyond me. |

Since they added the $20 Outfield District and Loonie Dog Tuesdays I've gone to more games than ever. I still don't really give a poop.

I went to two games last year - both times free tickets.
Was it fun? Yeah.
Was it more fun than watching it in a good sports bar? Probably not - at least not for me.
Although I should add both games were late in the season - second game was last weekend.
I did go with my old hockey team prior to COVID - we headed straight to the Flight Deck and played pass the cup. It was fun. |

It may be bad for ball, it may not....dunno. But if the Jays were doing this, we'd all love it.
If the dodgers dont win the next 4 world series its a fail.....but if they win only two more WS....then its less of a fail.....but we get to point and laugh....then cry. |

yeah, i will take any other option than sitting is a crampy seat where you have to stand up 25 times a game to let people go by.
other options for kids to go do stuff while the parents can lean on a railing or sit at a table and still see the game is perfect.

Watching any sport in a sports bar with friends is usually a little better than being at a game live. IMO. Both have their advantages I suppose |

Speak for yourself. We get asterisk's for us putting a 7th D on LTIR all season.
I don't want a league where a handful of teams get all the best players. Tbh this league is already watered down a little. It would be horrible for hockey.

Yeah, but I think MLB needs to dial it back a little.
Seems like over the past 10 years, there's been 2-3 minnows in the World Series, and the rest of the time it's just the big market clubs.
To me, that's just a little too skewed in favour of the big market clubs (unless it was the NHL, and then it would be 100% fair). |

this is the league rank in WS finalist for payroll.
now the dodgers deferring money is a thing, but ignoring that

2021 11v4
2022 8v4
2023 5v20

Bullpoop. If the jays had signed Ohtani, soto and sasaki you wouldnt be in here whining about it.
Same if the leafs could build a super team and win a few cups. |
