It's helpful when you're looking for tips on something because if everybody upvotes something about how to attach drywall to steel or whatever you can weigh that tip accordingly.

I love when he posts some transaction that even a casual fan would know is not only unlikely but actually impossible and he immediately gets called out by a dozen posters. So I love all of his rumours.

I think it's the opposite side that's the useful tool. If you ever look at the way Reddit groups messages, a highly downvoted post is still present, but it is constrained - so you have to decide to click on it if you want to read it. You can see the user who posted it - so if a poster were a common irritant, then you could just choose to glide by without being irritated today - but you can always click on it if you're curious or if you typically like that user's POV. |

Good point. That would be the perfect tool for this forum as there are a lot of... err... tools.

My all-time favourite was when Ek said Burkie (GM of the Leafs at the time) was aggressively pursuing a trade with Colorado for Marek Svatos.
It was so random, and so NOT what Burkie wanted on the Leafs. I kept asking Ek for updates for years.
Of course, I stopped when Svatos died. The rumour died with him. |

Attaching drywall to metal studs involves a few specific steps and tools.
Steps to Attach Drywall to Metal Studs
Measure and Cut Drywall:
- Measure the height and width of the area where you will install the drywall.
- Use a drywall knife or T-square to cut the drywall sheets to the appropriate size.
Position the Drywall:
- Place the drywall sheet vertically against the metal studs. Start from one corner of the wall, ensuring it is flush with the top and bottom.
Secure with Screws:
- Use self-tapping drywall screws designed for metal studs.
- Space screws about 12 to 16 inches apart along the edges and in the field of the drywall.
- Make sure to drive the screws just below the surface of the drywall without breaking the paper.
Continue with Additional Sheets:
- Repeat the process for additional drywall sheets, ensuring that edges are staggered for better structural integrity.
Finish the Joints:
- After all sheets are installed, tape and mud the joints with joint compound to create a smooth surface.
Tips
Use a drywall lift if you're working with large sheets on ceilings or high walls.
Avoid over-tightening screws to prevent damage to the drywall.
Pre-drill holes in the metal studs if you’re having trouble screwing in the self-tapping screws. |

Joint compound is the bomb. You can do anything with that poop. I swear you could build a house out of it.
