Dhaliwal: Pettersson still in play. His name is still out there. You think he’s off the hook because he has 1 or 2 good games?

My prediction: Both Petey and Miller get traded in the summer and they give Hughes whatever he wants to keep him here next summer when he can be re-upped.
- DariusKnight

That is more likely plan c but if it came about I’m good with that. My order of trades is Miller then Boeser & maybe Petey.

Miller asap but if wait til summer gets more no probs. Ride it out this season if a team doesn’t step up with an offer due to looking at the PO’s to make them or a cup push either way. That same team also is looking past only one season.

Boeser can score & shoot but his next ask has to be team friendly given his skating. If he truly wants to stay he has to be a bargain & leave money on the table that PA can use. If not he’s gone.

Petey is definitely an offseason trade if at all. Presuming Miller is gone & no more excuses are made for him he has to prove his value til game 82. If in the PO’s show once more he’s a star.

My last option is a Miller/Boeser package given their chemistry. Highly doubt an in season trade of that magnitude is to be found there. Maybe NYR could swing it. B’s need changes but don’t see the assets coming back.

Summary: PA won’t relent & give Miller away. Boeser is more on my radar. On both patience needed to extract the best pre TDL. This season can go wherever it goes but a retool is obvious.

The guy hardly ever speaks. What's to be furious about?

Does he want Pouty to be more of a vocal leader? Has Tocchet ever played with Swedes before? They're strange people. If true, Tocchet's expecting too much from the kid.

McD whining about a penalty is a penalty any time in the game. Didn’t fully own up to a dirty hit to the head just blamed it away. Sounds very Oily

Spread 11.6m around far better than locked up in one place for poor value.

He earns his cheque like any other player who merely wants a job in the league. He’s not even in the top 5 players on the team on performance.

Hughes
Lankinen
Garland
Sherwood
Hronek

Notice no Demko? Lol

Some players go through rough patches. It's the coaching staff's job to get him back to his normal production. No point in being mad about it. Just coach.

So far, the coaching staff has done a terrible job keeping this group focused and ready to play. Maybe Tocchet's needs to look into the mirror and ask himself if he's living up to expectations.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a high level of compete from one of the highest paid players in the league. But agree to disagree. Must be the coach I guess

I get what you're saying. From what I hear, Pouty came to camp not in the best shape. As a coach, that would piss me off too. But I don't think that a reason to trade a guy.

Now, walking out on your team... that's a tradable offense.

Yes coaches can snuff out in the room issues only if players listen up & do.

Many players face rough patches they have to play through & stick with believing in the system. That hasn’t been the case for much of the season. Lankinen bailed them out early. The lack of being professionals is on each player nobdy else can play for them.

RT & staff are a part of the blame having the team ready & focussed. Idk what is left for them to do. Last season all bought in but the later part of the season it went downhill. It has continued to this very low point. It leaves JT/PA in a bind even though they realize changes are needed.

Not being in top shape for a follow up season with a brand new 12.6m deal & sucked at the end of last season. Those are the beginnings of looking at a trade unless EP & only him does something about it. Nobody else to blame.

Miller Petey & Boeser have all fallen off. The D make up bites. Demko out & now average. All the reasons this season is where it’s at. The UFA’s have done just fine. The PK has improved. The PP 👎🏻

$27.25 of cap isn’t keeping up to the rest of teams $59.75. That is the big serious drag on everything. Contracts are fair game none of this nobody put a gun to their heads bs. Everyone else in the real world has to perform to earn their wages or raises. Standard work ethic & accountability. Pros be Pros

Imo Miller is worth $8m his baggage is not & shlt has hit the roof. Boeser is no more than a 6-7m winger paid to score excepting his warts. Market means nothing to me so trade him.

Really & truly want to win a cup is sacrificing & leaving it all out on the ice.
