I think JR read the riot act to potential trade partners about the leaks. Hence the silence as of late. - VanHockeyGuy

Shouldn't even be NHL Hockey in Columbus lol - LordHumungous
Columbus is a great market and a great city, there's no competition here for the Blue Jackets, in terms of pro sports. And it's cold and snowy in winter. It was -21C yesterday for f**k sakes.
They just need to build a winner with a competent management group. |

I sincerely doubt it, the rumors from the Roxy are rarely accurate in my experience. |

It's absolutely true that Miller will have more value after the season is over when teams can spend freely, but they have to accept less if they want to save the season. If they don't care and they're accepting the season is lost, he'll remain a Canuck until the summer. |

There are always two pressure points. Trade deadline and the draft/free agency. His value could jump a lot at the TDL depending on where teams are, plus by then cap savings have accrued enough to be an easier fit.
Still think Jersey should trade for him. They have the best assets for us, and they would be an absolute beast with Hughes/Miller/Hirschier down the middle |

Nico Hischier is so grossly soft, he's productive, but he's soft. Miller would look great on his LW. |

Well maybe this noise about the Canucks will die down enough for the rematch game against the Oilers.
Especially so, all the apathetic, take a player side, soft disgruntled, too cool for school fans, can piss about the game.
Canucks mid season form is always a b!tch contest no matter their position. |

The arena district there is great. Young population that likes to go out to the area and eat/drink/ go to events. As you say it’s all a matter of the product. They can’t seem to get their poop together and build a winner. |

I can't help but wonder how they'd be with Johnny Hockey and if chemistry with a recharged Monahan was reignited. Monahan was a shell of himself when he left here in Calgary, but he certainly seemed to re-establish himself over past few years. Obviously it's more of a tragedy on the human side, but still wonder a bit if the team would be even further along. They looked good against the Leafs which is probably the most I've watched of a game of theirs. |
