Darn playoff chances just dropped to 5% again. ➕️ a ton of quality team to climb over including the Rags. Suddenly they look loose.

Best bet is Flyers picking at #13.

Briere may very well trade Risto if the return is right, but I don't think it will be at this deadline. Most likely in the off season.
- jd250

I like Risto but sure hope the return is right and we unload him at the deadline. DB has to try to get something of value for him now while he is healthy and playing well. There's a lot of hockey left and injuries happen...the off season might be too late.

How about we keep Michkov off the ice when that giant goon is out there?
- Dkos

Yes, was thinking the same thing! While we might have a better chance at scoring if Rempe's on the ice, I don't trust him and it's not worth the risk.

The Inquirer is not a reputable source. The article is a local puff piece

When you state that Ristolainen is playing the best hockey of his career. That means that the hockey that he is playing now, is better than at any point previously in his career. Stating that he is playing SOME of the best hockey of his career. Is not the same thing. You failed.

Maybe best defensive hockey. But he was a offensive threat in Buffalo. But he looks completely neutered

Even if he is, it was still a pretty low bar that he is improving on. And even now the bar is pretty low.

Its not that. Rags have been playing well of late. They are 6-1-3 in their last 10

Every team has ups and downs. Doesn’t mean they are now contenders. They have a tough 5 game stretch coming up, see how that goes.

The Rangers arguably have the best goalie in the Conference. Going to be tough for the Flyers leapfrog them in the end. Top 3 in the Metro are pretty much set already.

All I really want for this season is a low pick and a Calder Trophy. It would be nice to have a Flyer win a trophy for being the best at something. We havent really had that in a while. Coots was probably the last one to win something by being a top player at something. Unless the Flyers finish in the bottom 11 and have a horseshoe up their butt, they arent getting Hagens or Schafer

Being that we played tonight I was looking at some Flyers prospects/picks etc. What happened to Jay Obrien? Played in college then just stopped playing? Injury?

Since the Flyers refuse to position themselves for a top pick, here is what we're left with

1) They get lucky with a later 1st round pick or later and draft a future 1C

2) They acquire a 1C in free agency

3) They trade for a 1C

What are the odds that any of that becomes reality?

- MJL

Number 1 c can be found throughout the first rd, yes I would agree the higher the pick the better the odds, but they can be found throughout

Well that game was fun. Unfortunately, the Flyers are neither a playoff team nor are they going to be a top 5/top 10 lottery draft pick. It is, was and will continue to be a pipe dream for 2024-25 Flyers to be make the playoff team. The FO is either lying to itself or lying to the fans. In other words, same ‘ol same ‘ol era of Orange.

I’m not saying this because their point streak was snapped by a resurgent NYR, I say this because what we saw last night is who and what the Flyers actually are. It is reality. Take emotion out of it.

I guess technically you are correct. But the further down the round you get, the chance lessens that it will be an elite 1c, or even a star 1c.

Technically the Flyers have a 1c right now. And he was found later in the first round. But.....
