If the offer's for JTM or EP116 were reasonable they'd be gone already. I have a feeling they're here until the offseason. - VanHockeyGuy
Teams are hesitant due to the baggage surrounding both players. Two big money players also on pace for 54 point seasons lol. Tough Pickle the team is in. Best just to keep them here and force them to act professional and figure it out. Again, winning solves everything but it's becoming clear this club doesn't have the culture to string some wins together in tough times. |

Might be the softest team in Hockey at present. Too many Americans and Euros need to strip it down and get 15-16 CDN players on this roster. #truculence. |

Agreed, it will be difficult unloading Benning's disastrous core of selfish, immature players. Patience. |

Benning provided all the pieces needed. All this MNGT group which you have praised so highly had to do was round it out. Just a little bit of failure there. Simple math Son. |

There's no real hurry, just sit back an wait until the TDL. Failing that summer. |

He brought this on, he needs figure that out. If the offers aren't good enough he'll just have to honor his contract in VAN.

Which is probably what will happen. A good start tonight would be when Dubois goes after Hughes would be for Miller to step up and feed Dubois his teeth but alas I'm afraid it won't happen. |

How is this his fault? The players' poor performance and pathetic excuses night after night are to blame. |

Very few teams win a Cup when they continually turn over their roster looking for success. Just look at past history, it will show you, veteran teams win 99% of the Cups in a salary cap world.
The Canucks need to identify who they want to keep going forward as their best players and their leaders, and start surround them with what they need.
Quinn Hughes is the obvious no-brainer to keep and lead the ground as they start this process, personally I would keep Hughes, Hronek & Pettersson but I wouldn't hesitate to trade Petey if the right offer came in. Hughes needs some respected veteran help in the room, the opposite of Miller, so it's not all on him all the time. |

If this takes time or adding a veteran voice with enough clout to keep JTM and Petey in line while QH does his thing then there is still a road to fixing whatβs missing. |

If Miller has enough balls to get into a confrontation with Rick Tocchet, who was one of the best fighters in the NHL and he had over 400 goals, 900 points, a well respected NHL veteran player and coach, there's no one who's going to keep him in check. He needs to go. |

You don't need everyone to be old on your team, not what I'm saying. I'm saying you need respected veteran leadership on your team. Couple examples below. The Canucks organization needs to start building a respected culture again.
2024 - Florida
Barkov "C" 11 years with team
Ekblad 10 years with team
2023 - Vegas (expansion team)
Veteran lineup...Stone 31, Marchessault 32, Pietrangelo 33, Karlsson 30, Stephenson 29, Smith 32, Theodore 27, Martinez 35, etc.
2022 - Colorado
Landeskog "C" 11 years with the team.
MacKinnon 9 years with the team.
2021 - Tampa
Stamkos "C" 13 years with the team.
Hedman 12 years with the team.
Killorn 9 years with the team.
Kucherov 8 years with the team.

My man, I've said this before, I'm perfectly fine if Petey gets traded, he's not a culture guy. I just hope they get a massively good return for him. |
