For me there's no world where I'd keep Miller on my team, he needs to go. In saying that, I would absolutely trade Pettersson, Hoglander, + (buddies) for Cozens, Power & Kulich. But I would still move out Miller for Chytil and a conditional first round pick.

Looking ahead a bit agree packing up Boeser with Miller would net us something decent and at the same time it gets more Americans off the roster which can only be a good thing.

I agree, we need more Canadians on the team because we know the team with the most Canadians always wins the Cup.

I think Florida had 8 Canadians out of their 20 man playoff roster last season when they won the Cup? Top two leading scorers were Finnish and American.

Vegas 13 of 21. Leading scorer American.

Colorado 9 of 21. Leading scorer Canadian.

Tampa 8 of 20. Leading scorer Russian.

You just need good players, it doesn't matter where they were born.

People don’t take kindly to facts around here, more of a make things up kinda message board.

Miller said at the Roxy or at my brothers daughters soccer practice, for example.

And I thank all of the gods you and people who think like this don’t make big decisions like that.

Vegas had close to 22 CDN players playing on the roster in the 2022-23 season and something like 16 active CDN players when they won the cup...STL in 2019 too there genius...

I agree with you, assuming you think they should hang onto EP40, I'm not advocating to trade him but simply saying if they did, I'd be ok with something like that. Landing a franchise defenseman is a huge win.

Personally I'd just like to get rid of Miller for a bag of pucks and move on.

You're right, about Vegas, I looked at all the players on Vegas who played five or more playoff games for them the year they won the Cup, it's 16 of 21 players were Canadian. Two of them being goaltenders.

My point still stands, it doesn't matter where players were born, what matters is you have good players. There are more recent examples of teams with half or less Canadians on their playoff rosters winning the Cup. A good player is a good player.

I will give you Tampa as a bit of an anomaly but as we know the CDN content is dwindling a little bit. But still a bigger factor than folks think. Even the Avs had close to 16 CDN players pass thru that cup roster that season. Caps and FLA also had close to 12 CDNs over the season on the rosters.

Then go back and look at the LA Kings and Chicago cup rosters wowza...many CDN players. Maybe less of a factor today but still a factor IMO.

I'm gonna list all the teams that've won the Cup since 2015 and the players who've played at least five playoff games in the year they won the Cup. Has to be a meaningful contribution. Just to see what it is....I'm waiting for the Redskins vs Eagles game.

No, go through Petey's expected goals for again. That was so enlightening.

That game is gonna be so good. Jayden is next level but that Fangio de should be able to stop him. Washington with another wr and an upgraded oline would be lethal on offense

Thanks Yorkie. The highlights look like they played a better game and that Lindgren save at the end WOW! Hopefully they can figure out what personality they will have for the next game.

Thanks, but it's not worth the half pack of Crayola's you'll eat in the process.
