I get fans concern about Hughes maybe not wanting to re-sign if it is a rebuild, but trading Pouty, Miller, Boeser and Demko should allow for a fairly quick re-tool

I would think they trade Miller in the next week, and then see how the rest of the season goes before making an assessment on Petey. They can see how he does without Miller, and if he's still not showing they can trade him before his NTC kicks in

Why would you pay to watch an inferior product? I totally get it! Has to be tough to sell season tickets. If they can get faster, tougher, younger trading those two, do it!

It totally depends on what they get back. If it's more futures than roster players, that may be tough. Plus if they suck and are sinking, it may be hard to convince him to stay

By camp next season, those three trades should have mostly retooled the roster. If it still struggles after all that next season, management and coaches should get canned.

Miller needs to be done before 4 nations. Let everything settle for a couple weeks and see how it looks after that.

He has been injured most of season

If a player is forced out of the line up for 10 games, his agent is going to make sure everyone knows it wasn't his client who bailed on the team. There's a lot of damage to Miller's rep because of that and I doubt after everything we've seen with his personality, he's going to let management frame him like that. And what does this say about management if true? To force a guy out then fabricate that he walked from the team? Holy (frank) would that blow up bad.

I get it, you are speculating something that contradicts the official statement. Still, there's more contradictions to your speculation than there is to the official statement.
