List off his team mates that hate him other than EP.

Don’t be a hater just cuz I’m able to see things without the fan goggles.

Everyone but Garland hates him. The coach hates him, the president hates him, the GM hates him but word is the vile slumlord owner loves him.

There's this hobo I see frequently, he always has a Bruins jersey on. I'm seriously thinking of giving him my Phaneuf jersey.

What did you see in his OHL days and on the Rangers? Coincidence he causes issues wherever he goes?

I heard JT Miller went into a restaurant and he ate all the food in the restaurant and they had to close the restaurant.

Miller played a little less than 100 games in Tampa (had to look it up, 94 to be exact), and I watched a lot of those games. Granted, that was 2017-2019, so it might not reflect the same player we see today.

I don't recall any locker room drama while he was here.

He fit right in and played a typical power forward style where he was mostly deployed as 2nd line wing. He was given auditions on the top line, but just never stuck there on a deep Tampa team.

He seemed to be one of those guys who got points in bunches and then would do a vanishing act for several games before coming to life again.

He didn't take dumb penalties too often, but did get caught on the retaliation a few times. Mostly typical.

Whether or not he would bring the magic sauce the Leafs need, I don't know.

Just for the record, I didn't purchase a Phaneuf jersey it was found in a thrift shop (lol) by my Habs fan brother and given to me as a gift/troll combo.

Add to my Miller thoughts, I forgot to look at his playoff stats in Tampa during that period.

He played in 19 playoff games for 2g 8a and 10 points. Not exactly lighting it up, but not totally vanishing either. Keep in mind, he wasn't getting top line time and mostly PP2 time.

I don't recall if he killed penalities or not.

Wearing a Phaneuf jersey is a sign of a true fan. It speaks of both sophistication and irony. Truly not something a poser would wear. Don't (frank) with a man in a Phaneuf jersey. And if you meet a woman in that jersey, you marry her.

As I have proven, Miller hates Swedes and the only Swede he could confront on Tampa is 6'7 240 of bag eyed muscle. A coward like him would never fight such a titan, better to fight the lanky losers with good words and edumacation and poop.

Counterpoint: it's exactly the kind of jersey a poseur and/or someone with suboptimal reasoning skills would wear.

Per women, if you meet one wearing a Clark jersey, you put a ring on her ASAP.

Were they a hot mess back then? Multiple beat reporters are saying he was constantly on Lundqvist when he was there.
- AdamFrench

Interesting I had never heard he was constantly on the King, I don't see that going well at all for Miller - Lundy was hard on his own guys too. He had the death stare and arms up like WTF to his D guys all the time if he didn't like what they did and it resulted in a goal against.

Guys who hold others accountable have to be top players and also hold themselves accountable when things go badly and it's their fault both to their teammates but also publicly (if they are going public about their teammates).

I'd say Lundy did a good job of that in his career - another goalie that should have had a cup and never got it. Him and Price both.

Like I said earlier I'd like a guy like that on the Leafs to see how it plays out - I can't remember the last one they had TBH and maybe it's what this 'core' needs?

Crazy players can make or break a team. He seems like the guy that eats after time and would be a huge boost immediately. For a Cup run, I think every team is looking at him.

Agreed - teams probably looking at the short term gain and anticipating perhaps some long term pain.

I said something similar yesterday - I don't think the cracks around Miller start to show for a couple of years. If you're a team with an open - or starting to close window, he makes a lot of sense. If you're a team growing towards or on the verge of opening the window, he doesn't.

Except the vast majority of Millers team mates love him. He holds others accountable. Maybe not always the best way though as some softies can’t handle it. The Leafs would be hands down better with that trade. Marner will never waive though.

I was living in Edmonton when we traded for Phaneuf. A few weeks later I was in Sportchek and found a couple of his t-shirts. At the checkout the guy was removing the security tags and he smirked and said that he couldn’t believe that they actually thought anyone would steal them.
