Wyatt Johnson
Marco Rossi
Dmitri Voronkov
These are the only three that interest me in a way but I think they all could get extended. - J35Bacher
No way Jim Nill doesn't have Johnson locked up before that could happen. And why would Johnson want to leave Dallas for Philly?

TK will not be moved. They will not even consider it. My guess is that before he signed his extension he was verbally told he will not be moved. |

What path are they on to acquire an elite player? |

Then the front office is stupid.
If Konecny was the one player Vancouver wanted for Pettersson, the flyers would be laughed at for saying "sorry, we promised TK we wouldn't move him"

Do not disagree. They would pass that deal up rather easily IMO. |

You think the Flyers would?
I feel like Travis Konecny and Scott Laughton have become these mythical (frank)ing creatures for the Flyers, and some fans, that will make the Wells Fargo center burst into flames if they are moved. |

I honestly think the Flyers are HOPING things just fall into place. They are just WAITING for the dead money and contracts to runs it's course. They are HOPING that someone will overpay for players. They are HOPING Michkov can hold people over.
I feel the whole plan is HOPING and WAITING that everything falls into place. Then claim it was all part of the plan.

Was Danny part of the prior management team? People thinking he is this outsider coming to the rescue is odd. - furio16
Part of sure but not all that relevant. Chuk was in charge. He made the decisions. We all work for bosses. If we disagree with our bosses, we can let them know what we thing but at the end of the day they make the decision. Danny is now the GM so he gets to make choices now

Wyatt was a hard buy already, best chance would have been when struggling but hes on a tear now. Hes not avaialble. Byfield could maybe be available depending on how aggressive LA will be. Im hearing rumours about Brandt too

I think hope is part of the plan, but I think the same could be said for all the teams that are in the bubble today. Plenty of teams that have drafted for years but not found the elite talent. Some forget what makes a great draft and the main thing is the level of the talent in the draft. You could get Lafreniere or McDavid, seems most top picks are a tad better than the former.

It was well know that Chuck Fletcher was a collaborator who wasn't a sole decision maker. It's also well known that the Flyers current management group is a triumvirate where the GM also doesn't have final say.

He wasn't available when he was struggling either. Byfield plays big minutes for LA. They're in a playoff spot. They're not trading either unless it's for significant upgrades. What do the Flyers have to offer?

Yes. But those teams took the chance to get into that position. Maybe the pick didn't work but they had the plan to try and be in position to get that player.
I get it, the draft doesn't always get you a top player, but the Flyers as they are currently working are just sitting in purgatory.

He is not going anywhere. I think once they moved Vilardi it was with building in the future Byfield.

I want the tank method, at least the next 213 years but yea, far from guaranteed. |

If Clarke is being made available by LA, they'll be looking for NHL help, IMO. With Kopitar's age (terrific player), doubtful they will be looking for prospects and picks only. Much like Askarov and Jiricek earlier, these are the type of deals Briere must get involved with and get one of these over the line. |

So the Flyers won’t tank and will be going for it with this group of players. Their timeline is short and wrong and I disagree with it. But given what they want to do they should be all in on Pettersson no? |

All in means a roster player and 2 firsts to start IMO. And clearing a $hit ton of cap space to fit that cap hit. |
