Like I said, he doesnt care about salary which silences people if they just pay attention to the games. He has stated that scoring falling off is forgivable... not paying attention to the non negotiables isnt. This is why Miller is the 2nd line C this season.... and sometimes benched.

I’ve never defended Millers attitude or his huge gaffs. When he goes as far as to be a cancer it’s all on him. Furthermore he’s not an excuse for others getting a free pass cuz he’s the lightning rod.

This "Miller wants more from him" is an excuse. Omissions and altered facts. Miller was doing this a couple of seasons ago as we find out from Richardson. Petey was playing world class up to the end of January 2024. This is why I worry that it will be some other player after Petey if Miller stays and he goes. Likkerr? Hughes? Willander? All soft players that are going to need to be bullied into personality changes all of a sudden?

A real locker room leader should have the ability to alter the way he pushes the different personalities on his team. If you just bully young soft players into being tougher and it fails... and you just keep pushing... you're no fkn leader... you are a cancerous bully. It backfired and dragged this team into a massive public controversy.

Nice to see grizzled vets like Richardson and Luke Schenn call Miller out on this stuff. People keep omitting this from the "only pussies see a problem with this" banner they never stop waiving. It's a flat out lie is what it is.

I said ceiling because that's exactly what I meant. I acknowledged Bure was a more steady scorer.

Mogilny had a 107 point season with the Canucks iirc. He could play without Lafontaine.

I think the reason nothing has been done yet is because it's Petey that's getting traded, no trade protection, so you can listen to the best offers from 31 teams. You'll get so much more for Petey, maybe that's why he's getting important minutes.

Seems like a comical way to beat around the fact that overall, Petey is playing better and that is why he is getting more minutes for most games this season. If it were not for critical faceoffs late in a game, Miller would have even less minutes.

A Kuzmenko, EP40 reunion is on course to try to rekindle the magic. Lets see if they fire Torts and bring in Bruce There It Is. The East is soft so they might be OK.

Hell of a trade for Flames, Farabee is going to be the story of this trade years down the line.

I think so too but rarely bring it up because most canuck fans have elevated Bure to mythical levels. Don't get me wrong, Bure made me a canuck fan, but I don't think he was even the best russian on the canucks, let alone best player that some make him out to be.

I think it was the way Bure raised people out of their seats. He was a one man show and it was a level of anticipation like is he going to go all the way again.

Mogilny to me was always more about quick plays and darting to areas - like nothing was there and then suddenly he's breaking in. Used his teammates a lot more too, deft passer.
