Awesome, I hope it’s 2026 and they crap the bed. Get a lottery pick for McKenna.
- Pacificgem

Shytel's concussion history is a concern.
- VanHockeyGuy

I am not going to Sh1tyl on the kid. I will give him a chance.

From a lifelong Rangers fan here is what you get:
Chytil....many nights he was the best forward on the ice. Big powerful forward with very good hands. The biggest issue by far is his injury history. Numerous concussions missed half the season last year and out a couple times this yr. If he stays healthy, and is a HUGE IF, he is going to be a really good 2C possibly 1C in the future.
Mancini..played some 3rd pair D early in yr and handled himself very well. Could potentially be a 2nd pair guy.
You got 2 guys with lots of upside but Chytil is a bad hit from what might be a career ending concussion.Wish him health and he is will be very good

- hfc355

You get a bully who gives up on plays when he's not feeling it. Hope you don't have pumpkin patches in NYC.

Actually Benning made a similar package to obtain JTM. Miller turned out to be of Vancouvers best players. TB did squat with their picks and the player Mazanec. Benning fleeced TB.

Allvin did the opposite. Benning did the fleecing, Allvin got fleeced.

Reading some of the Ranger fans' comments on other sites they think Drury got fleeced.

That's my whole point. RT notices... and why Miller isnt top C minutes this season so far. That could change but it's the reality right now. I don't expect you to notice what someone else notices when they put bias aside and lean on players they trust more. Notice it was the other way round last season? Both examples are/were justified.

Petey playing sub standard is still more useful to the coach then that suck Miller in his present state. Maybe he needs another 10 game vacation because the media is mean and someone he dislikes is still on the team.

- boonerbuck

Yes there isn’t much good to say about Miller he hasn’t been giving 100% physically & mentally combined. With him being front & center in the turmoil he shares any blame & hasn’t played through it. Accountability he has to own up to being the antagonist.

Apparently Mancini dropped Tom Wilson with a big hit once, so that's nice.

Lifelong Canucks fan here.

JT Miller is as advertised.
Can be a dominant 1C, good on the faceoff dot, physical and has a great shot.
Can also be lazy and give up on plays, refuse to backcheck and plays like he's got a cloud over him. Appears to be a cancer in the lockerroom.

Branstrom is an undersized PP specialist, more comfortable in the AHL and never heard of hte other guy

@Mike_Sheerin
Canucks fans;
Chytil is a one man breakout. Really strong skater and can gain the blue line. Not a great finisher but has never really been given an opportunity consistently with top 6 minutes. Defensive numbers don’t look great and he can be guilty of chasing in the d-zone.

- NorthNuck

From a lifelong Rangers fan this kid has tons of talent the key is his concussion history and health. He stays healthy he will have a real good career but 1 hit away from career ending concussion. Wish him well many games he was Rangers best forward

Canucks are a lottery team. Like the Flames they’re just not good at the lottery.

After the trade, #Canucks have $2.7M Projected Cap Space.

This can fit $6.7M annual cap hit today or $12.2M at the deadline

They now have 2 first round picks

Like I said to NYN we will wait and see how it plays out. We knew the offer was not going to be great.

Friedman also mentions the Boeser contract negotiation doesn’t sound optimistic.

I smell hardball on PA’s part. Goal scorers get paid but in Boeser's case his foot speed has to be the major factor. If he had worked on it every off season it could have improved measurably. Upright & lumbering all over the ice as he does really hurts his ability to score & get into open ice. Even on a partial breakaway he’s stuck in quick sand shooting from further out cuz so easily caught up to. His stride & 1st few steps really are holding him back while the league gets better & faster.

The winner of this trade has to be JTM He gets to leave the Loony Bin.
- VANTEL

Millers career is downturning he's 32 on pace for 52 points and needs 15 game 'mental breaks'. We are better off without him getting what we can get. See how the room responds now.
