I agree with this, although not the Hoglander part.
- Reubenkincade

Hoglander had 23 goals last year. He has the talent. I wonder if his points being being in the Sh1tter have anything to do with EP40 JTM and BB points being in the Sh1tter.

Hog on the fourth line is stupid. Get him top forwards to play with.

I would consider offering Fla a 6 th round pick just to see if there was something still in the tank. He is a UFA @775 K. We have been using Freidman Branstrom and Juulsen. He is 24. If it doesn't work then oh well.

Why not just grab im off waivers for free?

Because another team is going to grab him before it makes it to Canucks turn.

He was drafted 8 th O/A. Some team is going to say sure we will grab him.

Then we need to offer a 6th to that team. He is on waivers so we can't trade for him till he clears.

Interesting deployment for the #Canucks forwards at even strength against the Predators. Top five tonight were:

Brock Boeser- 15:12
Elias Pettersson- 14:51
Pius Suter- 14:30
Danton Heinen- 13:48
Conor Garland- 13:40

Miller- 11:43

- Pacificgem

He had a brutal 3rd period... but the Canucks survived it.

Even Reuby hasn't criticized him in almost 2 years.
- Reubenkincade

Haha... not true but you have toned it down mostly.

I did not know that.

Saad cleared waivers, but said he is not going to the AHL so he will terminate the remainder of his contract, making him a free agent.

I remember when people wanted him over Hughes.
- Retinalz

The Hughes is "too small" crowd. I remember that.

If you can't find trade partners, you may as well pick up waiver scraps

Donny and Reubs were so mad, not a lot of talk about him being too small these days

Waivers isn’t free. You have to pay the team cash that you’re claiming the player from.

Has he raped or killed anyone? Those are the intangibles that the Oilers are usually looking for.

In most cases I agree but then I look back at how many players Canucks have given up on that have went on to good careers. Mitchell OEL Stecher D1ckerson McCann Forsling Chatfield.

Same. Honestly expected someone else besides you to take the bait.

Biggest difference I see in the team over the last 3 wins is that the forwards are coming back deeper in the Dzone to help in outnumbered plays. They're also holding their position better all around the ice. This is meaning better breakouts. More outlets for the D. And more importantly less dump ins. The entire D corps has benefitted.

- Load Management

Lefty posted something the other day about the success our skilled players have off the rush more than the dump and chase style of hockey. Last night's first goal was a good example of that success off the rush. Hope to see more of that.

Management seemed to be targeting players with speed over the past two seasons but those players didn't seem to excel under Tocchett's system. Now most of those speedy players have been moved out.

I hope Tocchett can coach a speed game but it's looking more and more of a grinding style.

Maybe it's time to look at the style of hockey being deployed and ask if skilled players are being stifled because of it?

TBH I really don't care, I find it comical how disfunctional this team has been since Aquilini took over.

Definitely.

Why does a team go from being a good scoring team to a terrible scoring team. First place you look is the coach.

Pagnotta: I’ve got to know Elias Pettersson pretty well over the past few years. He’s someone who doesn’t handle confrontation well. He shelters. He’s introverted
