No such thing as a must win for a non playoff team with a 7% chance of making the playoffs. It's more of a must lose. |

After 52 games the Flyers are on pace for 82 points. But if they flip the switch today, play at a 106-point pace (which is like a top 5 team in the NJL) for the final 30 games, then they can finish at 91 points, which is what the final wild card team in the East had last year. Some years you might need 94, 95, 98 points. One year required 100. But 91 is doable. Flyers have the talent to be a top 5 team. Starts today. Andrei Lee won't know what hit him. |

Fixed. Gotta stop depending on AutoCorrect New Year’s resolution to be better.

This team has a realistic shot at going 8-22 down the stretch - and does not have a chance in all the galaxies of the world going 22-8 to get to 96 points. If they lose in regulation tonight they will be a point behind the fishsticks with 2 more games played. This is about the time they started to falter last season IIRC. The goose is cooked |

Danny has a Wharton certificate. You don't think he knows the percentages? Wonder if he uses the Analytics team for daily updates? |

From Jeff Marak:
The only thing that makes us think that the Flyers could potentially revisit their interest in [young Los Angeles Kings blueliner Brandt] Clarke is the fact that the Kings blueliner could potentially be that all-around player, while Drysdale might be more sheltered and used in a way to maximize his offense. Clarke seems like that workhorse every team covets and with Rasmus Ristolainen potentially gone by the March 7 trade deadline, a spot on the right side would certainly open up.
A long-term right side of the blue line featuring Brandt Clarke, Jamie Drysdale, and potentially Oliver Bonk? That’s something that could be extremely enticing for Danny Briere and the rest of Flyers management. |

What assets do they have that could land a player like that from LA? |

Hopefully someone uses them for something besides picking up lunch orders. You know Torts and Jones pretend they don't exist most of the time.

But as I told you, just going 7-3 in the next 10 games moves the Flyers to a 33% playoff chance. All it take is a run for the Flyers and slumps for teams in front of them. It could happen. |

true or not, not what they need, lose, get the pic, re-shape the franchise and get on the right path. Last night was as close to playoff hockey as they will taste and they were overmatched, just like down the stretch last season, this has to be clear to DB. Add in TIP not being 100%, and forget it. Hell they can't survive losing Ryan P.

They’re not a very good team on back ends if a back to back. |

Not a chance. Clarke is viewed as Doughty's replacement in the long term in LA...he is not getting traded. |

So, if this is a must win, and they don't win, that means they have zero chance?

I agree I don’t see it….but then again I thought Cutter was viewed as a long term piece in Philly….never say never I guess, because we don’t know what happens behind the scenes. |

If we are talking must win games in January …it probably doesn’t bode well for the 24-25 season. |
