Mika may benefit the most with this trade since the pressure is off him somewhat. He can just play 3rd line minutes vs easier lines and maybe thrive again. See what happens in the summer regarding if he’s still around or not, but for now this is probably best case scenario with him

Feel like the last time the cap was on a nice trajectory of going up all of a sudden they pulled back out the rug and were like actually we're gonna only increase by a million and after that we decreasing it by 2 million.

Laf needs to find the game he had last season. With the cap increase, could be one of the biggest bargains out there. Rangers are lucky to have some big pieces locked up prior to this news. Every new contract probably goes up 10-20% from here on out.

Good thing in summer of ‘26 panarin and kreider contracts are gone. I hope they move off of zib. They should look to get rid of smith and vesey for some younger players this tdl

I think Drury wanted to do the trade with zib instead but he didn’t want to leave. Trocheck would’ve been a non starter for me, so Chytil was really the only option to go in the trade. Zib days aren’t numbered until the end of the season imo, and how this new situation works out, him being the 3C, will determine a lot of things. He could thrive there and all be forgiven. Because his salary as a 3C won’t be that much of an eye sore if the cap is going up like it is.

So basically the only pieces left from the letter day is Schneider, Miller and Laffy. Well built.

Yes give Miller the Captain C. He has never won anything and just forced his way off his third team, his attitude will fit in well in this locker room.
