Zib at 3C is a lot more attractive than 1C. Plus the salary cap hike takes the heat off the amount he is making for that position. A am rooting for a zib bounce back year and if that happens why couldn’t this team be a contender!?

We finally have 1C 2C 3C 4Cset up where we had 2C 3C 3C 4C
Miller
Trocheck
Zib
Carrick
Down the middle is as tough a 1-2-3-4 centers to face across the NHL

Brannstroms AHL numbers have soared this year comparatively speaking to his past numbers. And his NHL numbers aren’t awful.
He was the major prospect in the Mark Stone trade so the pedigree is there. Drury could do worse on a throw in to a trade - Slimtj100
I think Brannstrom was brought here to replace Mancini in Hartford. He may remain with the big club for a short time for a look, but ultimately he is the 8 or 9th d-man on our roster.
Look for another trade when Lingren goes...

Once again a desperation move on Drurys part. Miller is better than Chytil now but is 32yo. This team wasnt built for the playoffs before the trade and still isnt now.
Tell me where you have heard this before, the Rangers traded youth for an over aged veteran.
So basically the only pieces left from the letter day is Schneider, Miller and Laffy. Well built.
Yes give Miller the Captain C. He has never won anything and just forced his way off his third team, his attitude will fit in well in this locker room. - Brukie
Its been misreported on several sites what age Miller is ---- he is 31.

Does it look good on paper, sure. The question is do they have the balls to admittedly put Zib on the third line.
I think management and coaching are too big a pu$$y to do that and would rather put Miller at LW to Zib, and put Kreider at C between Cuylle and Brodz, or Brodz at center.
Imagine Brukie having to give credit to Drury for this trade that at the same time made Zib better…hell would freeze over!! - Slimtj100
We arent getting a Stanley Cup hero here, we are getting a disgruntled 32yo who never won anything. To think of him as a savior to this team is over shooting it a bit.

Lets see what Lavy does, he isnt a man of change thats for sure.

How is Zibby better now? - Brukie
Yea Zibby could be better. What ever will you go on and on about after that happens
I don't think we should underestimate the significance of the salary cap news the other day, and how that could have changed the equation here on this deal. Having both Zib and Miller locked up that long for their decline years is terrible, was my first thought. But it's a little less terrible after the cap increase agreement that was announced.
Let's take a step back and look at the big picture: life for fans of big money NHL teams just got a lot better.
Do I trust this organization's fanbase/ownership/management to be able to effectively leverage this new competitive advantage well enough to lead us to glory (just a single cup win in my lifetime, pls)? Not really, no.

All we can ask is they try to win. You could root for Buffalo who is forever rebuilding and never good
Instant classic! 😂 I just know 14 years ago seems like another lifetime ago. I was 23 years old and reckless and preparing to go to our fire Sather rally. You guys remember that? I think it was when we were stuck with Redden, and hoping Zherdev was our savior. We have a come a long way. I also have some other account that I can’t log back into for some reason. My adwolf account 😑

The roster construction isn’t done. It may take the next 12 Months to get to the final puzzle. Just don’t get the general overreaction that welp they got miller. Now the team is complete lol
So last years team vs this years team. Imo it’s better this year, as of now, on the ice. The problem is they’ve been so bad that every point matters now so the pressure is on
