This team is not better in nearly every way with this one trade.

Again the enthusiasm of getting a star player covers the team deficiencies and sells tickets.

Your comment alone proves it

To help continue the conversation, can you give us reasons why you think the team is not better in a Miller for Chytil swap?

A Vancouver guy is on Sirius and mentioned that maybe they’ll trade EP40 too. That would be weird

I like putting snarl with snarl and making nasty lines. When players that play that way play together, it elevates all their games. It’s why I think our 4th line is finally having the success they are. All 3 guys play the same way and that’s more important than anything IMO.

Miller plays a gritty tough game, and Cuylle is a hitting/gritty player as well. Put 1 more guy on that line with that mentality, and it becomes a line with identity; they’ll feed off each other. Think pack mentality.

Yep it’s pretty wild

437 points in his last 404 games

This year he has been all franked up with the trade rumors, leave of absence and fighting with EP. Still has 35 points in 40 games

Really thought him or Othmann would go in a Miller trade, happy he’s still here.

I already said Miller is better than Chytil but will not make Zib, Panarin, etc tougher players now or in the playoffs, team is still soft, defense is a mess at best and doesn't have one intimidating player.

So slightly upgrading one player doesn't put this team as a Cup contender.

At least this year we don't have to hear how you think it's important for the Rangers to win the Presidents trophy or give us the math behind Panarin getting 120 points.

Trying to be as respectful as possible, considering our history, but what are your proposed moves?

I don’t think Miller is a slight upgrade over Chytil. He’s much better. He plays way tougher and is way better defensively than Chytil.

So this team is better today than they were yesterday, no? With or without Zib and Panarin still having their deficiencies.

If you think the team is still not good, that’s a different story.

The Rangers could still be sellers at the deadline and still make the playoffs -you could trade Lindgren, you could trade Smith to replenish some of the pics and give playing time to berard and othhman and a young defenseman
