I’ve always liked JT Miller, it’s well known on here. I’ve been told how many times to stop bringing up how he’s the exact player this team could’ve used over the last 5+ years. With that being said, there’s so many other issues going on with this team, 1 player isn’t going to change that.

I think you guys are putting too much stock into this one season when in reality it’s probably an outlier. The season started off a cluster(frank) with Goodrow and Trouba thing. And has snowballed into them actually needing new people (leaders) in the lockerrom after that happen, which he currently doing.

They had the opportunity to acquire, and cap space to make it happen. I mean it’s the perfect storm for this sort of addition to happen

Rentals arent a quick fix. Rentals are rentals. Rentals come to already established teams to fill holes and provide help in soft spots.

Bringing in a 31 year old player, who is a superb player, with 5 years left on his contract to a team thats completely falling apart at the seams with the expectation that HE will be the anchor by which the team in 7 months will have a complete turn around is called a quick fix. Call it a "retool" if that soothes your soul and makes you feel better... its an attempted quick fix.
