Sorry TJ but I think you have a broken brain. I still think the Miller trade was a good decision. But my god the way you rationalize things is beyond reason.

The defense is the weak point now. The right side seems pretty much set unless we all get shocked and they actually trade Fox. The left side they need to figure out, and fast. Not saying any of them are bad, but they are all just, blah.

Google it first. Sometimes its an easy repair. My BIL had the same problem and fixed it himself. He's not very handy in the DIY department either

Don, this room needs some of the cocaine doesn’t it? Maybe weed. But they need something

What about Urho - Fox?

Or dare I say,

Schneider- Fox? They’ve talked about how he’s comfortable on the left side.

Schneider is under utilized a bit. He should get more ice time, but for some reason he doesn’t. Idk if it’s him or not, but is he really that untouchable?

I’d go to battle with this team (next season), or see what happens maybe this year

Panarin Miller Laf
(this needs to happen imo)

Cuylle Trocheck Othmann
(Berard/Kaliyev/someone else)

Kreider Zib Perrault
(This could unlock the elusive Stanley Cup)

Big Ed Carrick Rempe
(Leave this alone)

JBrod - 13 th F
————
Urho-Fox
Miller-Borgen
Brannstrom-Schneider

7th D - FA (big fat guy), or go sign Ivan Provorov. But he seems very unlikely since CBJ is on the rise

This isn’t the finished product.

Going to take a few years. Defense should be revamped with Lindgren and uro out. Miller might be a goner. This can all happen this tdl and summer.

Zib kreider won’t be around either. Panarin probablt finishes out his contract.

Starting to think Lavi and the system are a big part of the defensive issues. It doesn’t seem to work

A few years? So were gonna wait until Miller is... 34? 35? Before we see this vision played out?

I think by next year they’ll be 80% to where they want to be. Following season they will be in a better situation with more cap avail to sign some good FAs

Fixing the defense isn’t going to be a quick fix. And it’s their biggest issue

Because its dumb, if the vision plays out over the course of 3-5 years why would you trade for a guy that will be 34-35 years old by the time that happens? Trade for a 1st round picks, prospects, upcoming RFAs that might have some stalled contract negotiations.

My whole thing with Brannstrom is there has to be a reason they traded for him, especially since Jones is still here. They’re the same guy (profile). But Brannstrom has draft pedigree where he is getting shot at some point. It might be when Lindgren is traded. Where and when they use him in the question.

all I did was copy n paste the link. Take it up with The NY Times lol

Did you even read it? Most of it is about Trocheck and Miller becoming the leaders of the team. Best friends, dream come true, etc

You guys are ridiculously short sighting this trade. It has little to do with this year, it’s about moving forward in a new direction.

It’s almost best they miss the playoffs this year and I wouldn’t be surprised if the team feels that way too. Keeping a top 13 draft pick would be enormous

Yep. What a terrible idea since you haven’t shut up all year about Lindgren sucking

Dude... did I not just say its a paywalled article?

Again, for the 14th time... as long as Zib, Kreider and Lindgren are gone and we can move forward and away from what was. If the old guard remains, Ill never be convinced that the "new core" will ever be fully leading.

Its not like hes got 6 years of NHL experience where the Sens absolutely couldnt wait to get rid of him and the phenomenally deep Canucks defense couldnt find a spot for him.
