Rangers are rebuilding on the fly, they will have plenty of cap room to deal with buyouts for instance (with the cap raises) Just let it play out. It could very well blow up this year, but the first rder is PROTECTED, and next year we’ll be loaded for bear where it won’t kill us to lose.

It’s not for this season. The plan has got to be to set up for the offseason changes. If they make the playoffs this season great. But adding miller and hopefully getting rid of Mika makes the offseason super spicy

I think my reasoning, agree with it or not, is pretty understandable. What part of the CAR game, or middle part of this season, or even when we were on that 10 game pts streak, was anyone ever like, man, we’re just 1 player away from the cup!!!! No one. Wasn’t the right time for a move like this IMO.

How?? There's still over a month until the trade deadline. Trades just don't happen overnight, have to see what else is being done. You can't just look at every trade in a vaccuum.

My JT Miller love is well known. Love him as a player. Just don’t think it was the right time to get him. Really felt like this was a year for a re-tool, recoup some picks/prospects, get Fox/Kreider healthy, figure out the Zib issue, etc and look forward to next year.
