They want to keep Petey. Allvin sees the potential. They're not pandering to him, they want it to work and are doing their due diligence to put the team in the best scenario to succeed.
There wasn't a timeline attached to anyone coming into this season. It was all supposed to work. It didn't. There wasn't a timeline for Miller until things broke down and he needed a fresh start. The implications on the room got him moved out ASAP.
They're assessing their 92 million dollar player to make sure he's going to fit in with the vision of the team. If not, they're going to move him. That's not pandering. McDavid getting his high school coach is pandering. They're giving Petey leash and if it doesn't work they're going to trade him. - NewYorkNuck

It's a wonder you stay sane reading/responding to all this poop every day

If it doesn't work, they've sewered his value. They have 92 million reasons to try to make it work regardless of whether they plan on trading him or not. You can bet your ass they are going to do everything they can to accommodate their investment.
Yes. They've traded one player and are now giving him time to see how things work out. Absolutely pandering. Get your head out of your vagina and grow a pair. - Load Management
Don’t use such big words you’re playing unfairly with those below the belt words. Lol
I am very impressed with EP25 so far. This one has to go into one of PA's very few positives
- VANTEL
All the more reason to keep picks. Let the newer & much larger mgmt team do their jobs. Draft & develop & moving to Abby was a great choice. Closer & can be more hands on 👍🏻
The clock has been ticking towards July 1st all season. There wasn't really a timeline attached to Miller until there was. Why is there a need to assess a player they just dropped 92 million on? There's a shit ton of pandering to try to justify the investment. - Load Management
This is what I think. It's either take the offer or move him along time. They can't afford anymore overpays regardless of where the cap goes because the beefy part of the OEL recapture starts next season. - Load Management
Boeser doesn’t have any stroke to use the cap increase in negotiations. He’s a 1 dimensional type of player paid to score. Doesn’t drive play or create his own shot. 4/7m max I want cheaper or trade him is fine by me.

You think they're going to sewer his value in the next 30ish games? They have until July 1st to trade him freely if they feel it won't work. Teams are going to want him regardless... his play isn't really going to get worse now. This is his baseline. Other teams know that, they've done their homework.
I don't get this whole 92 million reasons shtick. They have a very easy and accessible out to his contract.

... it's hysteria. People just won't admit it. They are going to be careful with a EP move. Miller needed to go first. There's common sense and order to how they are going to handle things post Miller.
You want to see pandering? Reflect on what happened with Miller. Never seen management pander more for a player on the Canucks in the last 35 years. - boonerbuck
Do they even bother looking at what they are posting? They have Danton Heinen listed as "if there is a market tier".....the guy was traded already for eff sakes.

Only potential to see is he plays up to his potential so 11.6m doesn’t turn into an anchor. I truly hope he does but there is no signs of it yet. 🤞

One of many clickbait sites. Farm clicks using material already posted on other clickbait sites. No one fact checks or anything. Click farming at it's most basic form.

I feel I've already explained my stance. So I'll summarize, the closer to July 1st they get, if he's playing like he is or worse. It's gonna really hurt the team because he will not be anywhere near worth what he's getting paid. Not a lot of teams will give you much for a failing 92 million dollar investment regardless of where the cap goes.

Pretty big move based on a "If". What about "if" the team stabilizes, starts winning on a regular basis and Petey is a big part of that?
Sems to me your "if" really doesnt play into what you want. Your mind is made up. Management is going to be more calculated on this. They are not pandering to a group of fans.

Easy & accessible out?
How so is that?
Not many teams can take on 11.6m.
Next up is if his scoring continues as it has it will further cement to lessen the return later. The risk is obvious take a boatload if offered or if not wait it out & HOPE he gets back to his normal self.

They're just reposting things Drance and Dayal wrote a week and a bit ago.
