Excellent news - Soucy should be dangled along with Demko, Boeser and HOgs & Mynio.
Do everything to gain a young Center with 2C potential.
Juulson just needs to go. He shouldnt' ever be in the lineup again.
I actually don;t mind Forbort
Understand no circumstances should any of our own picks be going out the door. |

I don't think he gets up until the crack of 2PM, the guy is a serious alcoholic, or at least comes off like one. - Pacificgem
If that's the case, we might even get another page in before his endless stream of nonsensical gibberish violates the thread. |

Thats an absolutely fawking mental comment. We have 2-2Cs, Suter 3C Bluegar 4C.
Lekker is 20 years old - no one can predict his ceiling yet, but my god it's way to early for that kinda thinking. 2G in 11gms with the big boys and 14 in 24 with Abby, lets pump the brakes and give him some room. He's 20....
The real guy to keep an eye on is Mueller and Kudryavtsev. - Brooks_Light
I think you are going over the top with this Brooksie,
Instead of blindly waving a flag and cheering check the stats. The numbers don't lie.
EP40 has a few more assists but has been on almost every PP Canucks have had this year.
Boeser when he came in had 55 points in his first year (top six)
EP40 66 points (top six)
Hoglander 13 G 27 pts ( Middle six)
Podkolzin 14 G 26 pts (Middle six)
Likker 2 G 1 A in 11 games. Yes it is early but there is nothing at this time popping out to say he is going to be a very good player.

With all the skilled forwards Canucks had there was no room at the top
On a sh1t team like the Oilers he is playing second line with Drai who is a below average player. So yes if he stayed with Canucks bottom 6. |

I feel sorry for the kid. The fear he must experience going into video coaching sessions with that disgusting franchise. It's unfortunate anyone has to play there. |

I don't know. Playing for them you get all the perks of the city. Indoor golfing year round at the mall. Eight months of winter, Brown grass in the summer.. |

You gotta feel for most players there, wondering who from management or the coaching is going to jizz on their back when they are called to a meeting.
Disgusting organization. |

I don't really like this part of your comment. Right now Canucks are playing with three 3rd line centers and a fourth with Blueger. If you bring in two more 4th or 5th line centers the team will be unwatchable.
Too early to say but I think Chytil (Filipino) can move to 2nd line center. Canucks still need a 1C.
The D looks mostly done if they sign M Petey.I would also keep this G tandem.
Now you need to work on the forward group. I don't think Likker is who we were hoping he was going to be, to me he looks right now as a third liner..
Keep an eye on this Vilmer Alriksson. I am going to say he looks like he will be on the big club within 2 years.
Bring back Suter and Blueger. Keep Hoglander. - VANTEL
I would try to move on from Demko and test the waters to see what kind of value he has. It is obviously less than his peak, but with that injury / deformity in his knee, it is what it is. Get a pick or prospect from a Detroit/Chicago/CBJ and add some more cap space. The Canucks seem to have a very good eye on picking up solid backups who can play a 1B role. I would sign Lanky 4ish x 3 years and try and get the next Casey Desmith to ride with him in a 60 / 40ish split.

Do you really want to go into next year Silovs and Kevin Lankinen?
I don't think you are going to get Lank for 3 mil I think you need to look at 5 mil. Then your next Casey Desmith every team will be looking for and his price tag will be close to 3.5. so that is why I say stay with Demko. |

I tried mentioning this yesterday in the scrollfest that was Nighty. If they're gonna resign Marcus P. then the left side has a logjam. Moving Soucy gives them some extra cap and the roster spot to do so. It makes sense. - Load Management
I see what you're saying on MarceyP but always injuries with this squad, besides the aberration that was last year. Not sure one call-up and one trade takes the team from an awfully weak and thin D corps to being ready to move too much. I'd also add that Soucy's play all year this year might be hard for a team to warrant taking a flyer on him, I certainly wouldn't for a 2nd ... maybe a 4th or 5th. Granted, everyone saw us cut ties with OEL who completely turned things around with a simple change of scenery. So maybe have that working for us ... in a strange kinda unfortunate canuck way. |

There's just an awful lot of LD now. They are also easier to acquire. Certainly someone besides Soucy can play their off side if need be.
OEL priced himself out of his job. At 2 mil I would've had no problem with him. |
