I think you are going over the top with this Brooksie,
Instead of blindly waving a flag and cheering check the stats. The numbers don't lie.
EP40 has a few more assists but has been on almost every PP Canucks have had this year.
Boeser when he came in had 55 points in his first year (top six)
EP40 66 points (top six)
Hoglander 13 G 27 pts ( Middle six)
Podkolzin 14 G 26 pts (Middle six)
Likker 2 G 1 A in 11 games. Yes it is early but there is nothing at this time popping out to say he is going to be a very good player. - VANTEL
It's not going over the top in any way - I'm looking at his play and production during the last 7 years and trying to see past the drama with JT, the contract, "injuries" and whatever horsesh%t the media is hyperfocused on each week.
Speaking of numbers - How many 3Cs put up 102pts??? What 3C produces nearly a PPG - 450 games into their career? Those are 1&2C #s
Yeah theres things about his game I dont like, but I also dont think the grass is greener in a trade scenario.
Thinking this kid will never get back to that level of consistency is not something believe. Nor do I think that makes anyone a blind-cheering, flag-waving slurper. It's stupid and childish.
As for Lekker - 20yr old in his 1st year across the poind - 14 goals in 24 AHL gms in screams this kid will be good or above average. He's a vicious little sniper that has a ton of room to grow. Plays hard for his size, wins a lot of board battles - give him time to fill out.
You're right, numbers dont lie.

Ya, I read an article yesterday saying that a number of players feel as though the wrong player was traded.
Looks like they might have to trade Pouty before July1, as well. Clear the room of bad juju. - Marwood

I don't think this is a playoff team maybe we win the draft lottery and draft a Center. - VANTEL
For a top 6C the first/second is probably in play.

102 points was 2 seasons ago in the last 85 games 17 goals and 60 points. That is not 11 mil dollar numbers. He won't be sheltered behind the teams top 1C anymore. He gets the tough assignments now. Let's see how he does.
Likker is probably going to be a good third liner. You see something special with him I haven't seen it yet despite his AHL numbers. Let's wait and see. |

How can people not realize Canucks didn't have a choice. Miller wanted out, and he got exactly that. I think he's an American B$tch who didn't get his way and had his ego hurt by RT, which made him want to leave. He was as good as gone. |

How many 19 year old DMen do they have that are ready to jump into the AHL? They need to hang onto him if they are planning on making moves up the food chain. The depth also allows some flexibility with trades later on. - Load Management
Thats a tight window you're giving me - the answer is everyone from the 23 draft? So for us 2 players (Brzustewicz would have been 3), and I would imagine 2-3 from every other team in the league?
But why is that the only stipulation for hanging on to him? What about everything else I said from my last post? I gave you a lot of relavant evidence that you didn't mention.
Given our top 4D could likely be set for the next 5-8 years - he's realistically the best trade chip prospect we have. He's kinda replaceable - especially if we hang onto our 1&2 round picks and draft D.
And if we could package him with a Soucy, Demko, Hogs if might fetch us the young 2C that we need now.

I will agree he probably wanted out. Don't say I blame him.

From what I understand he kicked there asses too. I also had heard he did not start it. I believe they were arrested. - VANTEL
I watched the vid. He didnt kick anyone's ass... he just retreated while trying to defend himself. They could barely walk. I feel biz could have beaten down a couple but chose not to. |

Again thinking about my post awhile back QH liked about this team needing some new blood. |

You're right and the 89pts season was only 1 year ago.
7.3mil for 68, 102, 89 pts - what a steel - Highway robbery! Seems like based on the numbers he was in line for a decent raise.
The sport standard (value) for a long time was considered 1pt=100K but that was years ago. I'm assuming inflation plus the addition of all the new "fancy" stats has changed expectations.
In terms of tough assignment - EPs been playing against top lines - the McDs, MacKinnons, Stones, Kaprizovs, for years and doing fine - in fact his defensive numbers are some of the best in the league.

For those who don't know who Crap is it is our old friend Whipper 599.
Whipper has been a regular on HB for 20 years. He has the record for the most bans in the history of HB. For the last 20 years he has woke up in the morning every day and his main purpose has been to goy annoy the fu ck out of every thread on this site. Not much of a life legacy but who am I to argue.
One of the funniest comments he made was way back when Whipper 513 was Banned and I questioned him the next day "I thought you were banned? His response was why do you think I am called Whipper 514 today.
I remember a time when the Calgary Flame thread was mean to him and he would message me with D|Ms
Maybe at the picnic this year we should celebrate Craps (Whipper's 20 year of being an annoying a$$hole. Cheers bud. |

But Is it really about kicking their asses?
And I Didn't say he started it - said he got into it. It was business that he stuck his head into - and maybe good on him for that. But perhaps you're missing the point. |

Missing what point? 5 a$$holes attack him and he beats them up. I don't know what life lesson I am missing here. |
