absolutely, I've said this many times, no Ranger is represented in the rafters from the 1978-1986 era and they accomplished just as much as the 1968-1975 Rangers who have like 50 guys up there

So crazy!

Was talking about Ovie with my buddies the other day. Gretzky could have scored so many more goals with current rules and equipment (no two line pass, etc). Heard him on Theo Von's podcast talking about his life. So humble and down to earth and knows records are meant to be broken.

Gresh needs to be in the rafters
- Greschnergy#4

Yea I agree. I don’t remember him all that well but his stats are rafter worthy for sure

10 games for Hartman!!
I didn't think he'd get anywhere near that much. But, maybe that's just my bias because he did it to Timmy Flopper. That kid is a whiny wussy.

Good thing we dropped him.
What happened? First I'm hearing about it.

Greschner used to chat with me on facebook messenger, back in early days of social media and he told me if he didn't get hurt in first round vs Philly they win the 1986 Cup...He was never playing better and never really the same after that injury either

Short version: he bulldogged lil' Timmy's head straight down into the ice when they were in a puck battle. Cut him above the eye.

Rangers put themselves in a huge hole. Not sure they can climb out of it

Ya right off the faceoff. Dirty hit, didn’t think it was 10 games, but I think bc it had nothing to do with hockey and just a clear intent to injure.

10 games seemed a little much. But you’re right it wasn’t in the spirit of a hockey game. Very unnecessary roughness

Cuylle needs to hit Marchand like he hit Pietrangelo the other night. That late dirty hit on Uhro and challenging Fox to a fight should be all this team needs to target him all game

Like I said- its about ice time distribution - Mika still has rope left with the coach, if not the blog comment board.

Ovie would have at least twice as many goals going up against that - crazy to think - even just the dumb mask that was within my hockey lifetime ...
- Greschnergy#4

I’m not so sure about that. Possibly, but the skaters sticks were also way harder to use.

if season ended today, Rangers would miss playoffs, pick 11th overall in draft and Pittsburgh would hold the rights to Rangers 2026 first rounder

I think they can make it but it's going to be hard and will sting a lot if it's close at the end.

Apparently this draft is weaker than next year's so we really want to either miss the playoffs by 1 or 2 spots or make the playoffs. OR really fall out of it and pick in the top 3, which seems like the least likely option

I think even losing tonight would be so bad it's a nail in the coffin

this is an absolute must tonight
