For the rest of this season, why cant we just double shift the hot hand or distribute the 3C amonst the other centers and dress 7 d or dress Jbord but limit his minutes so that important minutes are from the double shifts?

I think it just shows that we over value first rd picks, GMs to a certain extent do not care enough to keep them. Idk what the percentages are, that’s 1st rders make it, but it’s worth the risk to go for it in their eyes

That’s the problem, it’s not so much the pts to make up it’s the amount of teams they have to jump

The East is really good this year

To me the rangers are gearing up for a major run the next 2-3 seasons and playing this year by ear. Like whatever happens, happens. Thats when the poop will hit the fan if they don’t win after that. It’s like a “window renovation” happening right now

This will piss people off, I get it, but I think it’s the best approach to this season

We do have games in hand on essentially everyone in our way. But, still an uphill battle, for sure. I wish I didn't feel like those last few games to pull us even are going to cement us into the 14-16 window that costs us this years 1st while not getting to the dance.

The other thing is they obviously haven’t peaked yet either. Like if they made it, they’d be the team that NO ONE wants to play. Last year in hindsight they probably peaked too early. Running out of runway is the scary part this year tho
