Boston College is currently ranked #1 in NCAA hockey and Perrault and Fortescue are big reasons why. I still think both need another year before turning pro, but that's just me. - TommyGTrain

Rangers certainly miss Kakkos one goal in the last 8 games - Slimtj100
Why is it that we aren't allowed to cheer for a player the organization decided didn't have a future here? I'm truly curious. He didn't disrespect anyone, he wasn't a locker room problem, he didn't quit trying his best. What is it that makes you angry that some of us wish a player well with another team after standing behind him for 5 years?
Talk about a waste of time and energy. |

the problem is that the Rangers fan online universe acts like total dooshes anytime somebody we trade away succeeds, we troll each other
people still don't shut up about Buchnevich, it's been insufferable |

BC has so much offensive firepower up front that it allows Fortescue to sit back and simply focus on defense. And he is very sound defensively. However, its a double edged sword because he also doesn't get to develop his own offensive skills. That's why I think he needs another year in college.
As for Perrault, I want him to stay back one more year to simply get bigger and stronger --- another 10 pounds of developed muscle will serve him well once he turns pro! |

Just make sure you call out everyone elses sarcasm and he did quit on the team when he got scratched for being inconsistent for about the 13th time |

I can understand that.
But, I think it's pretty easy to tell the difference with Kakko and Chytil. These are 2 high draft picks that everyone was consistently behind. Not quite busts with flashes of potential sprinkled in here and there. They both left with a feeling that they were on paths toward improved success. And, they are now on teams that we don't have to root against.
Those of us here that have posted updates on their play haven't been female doging about the trades, just happy for them to taste a little happiness in their new homes. |

He didn't quit on anybody. There's a world of difference between venting frustration when you are correct about being unfairly sat down and not trying your hardest when you are in the line up.
And this isn't so much aimed at you as at ANYONE who is insulting (for lack of a better word) for continuing to support them.
If someone complains about the trades (like with Buch), have at 'em. I just think its a little harsh to call people out for continuing to support a player simply for having been traded. It's like being mad at your kid because your wife left you. What did they do wrong? |

Agreed.
I hope Kakko and Chytil have good careers, they don't deserve any less. |

When you ask to be traded, that is quitting on an organization
I’m happy for him. I’m also happy for the rangers because that trade resulted in Keandre being a better defenseman once he started playing with Borgen. People may not want to feel like that and that’s fine. But that’s my general sentiment on the trade. And Kakko is still inconsistent is the point I was making |

Same. I just hate when people say Chytil was not developed here. He sure was but never played a full season in NY. Always hurt.
Kakko is a different story. That can be argued

Did he ask for a trade? I think that was Jones. KK just got annoyed and spoke truth instead of interview-isms.
And I think it could be argued that the organization quit on him before he ever did on them.
I'm happy we are playing better. Borgen seems to have filled a need better than I expected. I'm just a team guy and always want to see the guys in house grow and succeed rather than bring help in with a trade. Doesn't mean I don't come around! |

This is this place in a nutshell tho…Rangers had an enormous win last night, a 3 goal 3rd period. One where Miller Zib and Panarin all looked like all stars, and we’ve barely talked about it. We’ve talked about Kaapo Kakko tho, and Filip Chytil. And avatars. Matter of fact I got laughed at for being excited about it lol
And I’m sure I’m the bad guy for bringing it up |

Exactly. No difference than Vesey getting annoyed this year. One can argue that maybe they should keep it in house, but quitting... nah |

Honestly, what i remember most about last night's game is that the (frank)ing Sportsnet app THAT I PAY FOR wasn't working and by the time I gave up on starting the game from the beginning there were 13 minutes left in the 2nd period!
The first thing I saw after setting in was Eichel make it 2-1.
We played well. Everyone is engaged - what a concept! Still too many turnovers and open looks in our slot. But, my favourite thing was the 4th line playing 12 shifts over 3 periods. |
