Jealous of your leadership USA.

Man gets stuff done, for the betterment of his own people.

Ya really….i wish he didn’t attack Canada that way, but is he wrong when he points out how our govt has abused the NATO agreement to spend 2% of GDP on military? I mean fair is fair. Canada needs to do better….our government needs to stop being so complacent when it comes to trade. It’s insane that Alberta can’t supply eastern Canada with “refined oil” because we lack the proper refineries and pipelines lines to move it. I like so much of what he says and at least tries to do but admit I draw the line at the 51rst state poop. I love the US…it’s a home away from home, but Canada is my home.

Yet the people on the left still want to put up roadblocks instead of working with the President.

Whether you like him or not he wants what is best for the country overall. No reason why all can’t work together to get better deals than ones in place.

They have tried to put in pipelines, but they keep trying to route it through Native lands, and the Natives keep saying NO. They have tried repeatedly to do it.

MM has a ton of skill slowly getting sucked out of him by the coach. By the end of the year he will be more will to take a puck to the face while blocking a shot than tryin to score a goal ala the Michigan

That has to be the most infuriating. Early on, maybe it was understandable to watch from the press box and see the NHL from a different perspective but the constant benching is not coaching.

Additionally, the constant juggling of lines, the special teams being among the bottom of the league, the game plans that seem to be about collapsing in the defensive zone as a opposed to designing a system around the talent of his players. There’s no accountability for the coaching staff and while MM needs to learne the entire NHL game, where’s the rule that says his creativity must be snuffed out to do it. This coach lacks imagination and innovation. He’s a one trick pony who has one move… sit the guys I don’t think are listening to me. Coaching is a two-way street as it is to teach. This coach dictates. Time for him to go, like yesterday.

Because he expects accountability, that's so wrong for michkov to learn???

Sounds like you want players to be baby

How does the gold standard allow this to happen? Optics look bad once again.

Where is the accountability for tk? The Room™? Tippet?

I want offensive skilled players to take chances and not be punished for them. The benching will make MM less inclined to use his offensive creativity for fear of being benched. The same happened with Frost.

Yes but no one that made a huge differences outside of TK and Seeler. Those were the only 2 that would have improved the team.

You could have moved RP and GH but the return of they recieved is not worth focusing on. Some low end picks oh well

Iv seen him bench tk, but regardless what he is doing with Michkov I'm ok with.

Trying to teach him how to play without the puck is not a bad thing.
The kid is smart and so talented he be alright.

And from 90% of players that played for trots they all speak highly of him.

Doesnt matter if they improved the team. They were assets that could have been moved for draft capital or a younger player. Moving those players would have also opened up a spot for a player actually DRAFTED by the flyers to see what those players can actually bring to the table at the NHL level.

Agreed.

If they were doing some sort of load management thing like Anaheim did with Carlsson I would at least understand, and actually agree to an extent. Torts hints at it but why not just come out and say it instead of the "the way we play here" nonsense.

What is "the way we play here"? Losing and not scoring any goals?

It's ridiculous.

What I would like to see is allow your potential franchise player go out and just play hockey. No need to overburden him with defensive assignments/ defensive play. All while stunting his offensive play.

Last I checked to win a game you need to score more goals than the other team.

If the issues with MM were effort based then I would be ok with benching him. His issues are not effort based. They are mistakes made by a young player learning the game at the NHL level. Benching him for half a game for a simple mistake is ridiculous in my opinion. You are the coach. COACH the player.

Laughton was complete dog poop against the Avs. That penalty that lead to the second goal was just about the laziest play I have seen all year. And it was after he shot a puck 80 feet wide on a 2 on 1 that lead directly to the first goal. Did he even miss a shift?

Torts punishes skilled players more than he does non skilled players. He does it because he cannot coach offensive hockey.
