I was mostly talking about the 4 nations tournament, but yes I agree lol.
- Pat1993

I dunno, the nations v nations stuff use to be cool, back in the old Canada Cup days.

Perhaps the lack of Olympic and regular tournaments of this type have made my interest wane and not feel the excitement.

to each his own, I know many folks don't care about the 4 nations thing but it's literally the first time the league is doing it, so I don't get why people are saying it's gonna suck balls before even a single game is played... it surely won't be the same intensity as during the playoffs but it should be much more entertaining than the all-stars imho.
- Pat1993

I'm mostly afraid it's gonna spawn a new generation of Rejean Tremblay that will break our ears with la serie du siècle for the next 50 years.

yeah, well I get that not everyone is necessarily super excited about the whole thing, but I find whining about how it's gonna suck before it's even started is a bit lame.

That Crosby to McDavid in the 4 nations for the GWG will be their generation's Gretzky to Lemieux in the Canada cup goal.

I "care" about it, simply because it gives us a chance to see McDavid-Crosby-MacKinnon and the other big guns on Canada play together, potentially on the same lines at times.

I just find the term "Best on Best" insulting when the Rocket leader, the PPG leader and the guy 8th in scoring when they aren't there.

There will likely be good games.

I just think there is a general disinterest in the event... the NHL really has not built up any hype or excitement.

I get it, but with the current situation it's unfortunate but understandable imho.

I find this has been one of the league's main issues over the years, they've been unable to properly sell the sport and put on display the league's best players.

that's why I feel Buttman should've stepped down a while ago, an old boring lawyer that every fan hates isn't ideal to accomplish this lol... he could be continuing to fill in that role to please the owners but with another spokesperson at the forefront with more charisma to deal with everything publicly.

People always forget the work of Dale Hawerchuk winning the face-off / getting it to Lemieux, who poked it ahead for Gretz.

That poop shouldn't be allowed to be televised. It should ALL be PPV to go through that torture instead of clogging up all the channels with sleepwalkers throwing a ball to each other.

Can you imagine if someone OTHER that Anderson had all of those chances this weekend (Demidov, Caufield, Suzuki....(frank) even Matheson?)

I appreciate his efforts, but he needs a new (frank)ing move than going in on the right side and switching to his backhand.

Can't wait to shed some of these players and contracts. We're cursed for scoring on the regular.
