Great if their goalies aren't puddles of mud.

It was a media-driven narrative.

I think the US goaltending carries them in the tournament.

Canada's goalies have to get hot/lucky to make it to the finals. And their blueline, after the top 3, is also questionable.

Canada can score goals, but can they score enough goals.... that is the question.

On paper I think USA has the best team overall out there, but I think Canada has the elite of the elite upfront with the 2 best players of the league and then the best defenseman in the league.

Either way, I dont care all that much who wins but at this point I will most lilkely enjoy that better than watching the Habs for what left of this season. Unless maybe mtl comes back with fire in their asses after that 12 days break but I dunno about that.

Genius pick that imploded by too high expectation.

He should have been a star.

Yeah, I do.

Close call.

Finland is last because their D corps has been decimated and they lost their #1 goalie.

yeah, I think it'll be a close call between US and Canada, hopefully we'll see entertaining hockey.

No. Up until last year, Monty's poor career numbers were attributed to being on bad teams and takes long to develop a goalie. Not because he's just a backup who is slightly above replacement level at the NHL level. Because most starters find their game closer to 30 /s

Then when he showed some flashes of being a competent NHL goalie, it became "wait and see when he's playing on a good team." Of course, a lot of hockey media in Canada ingratiate themselves to the altar of the CH.

Now he's being outplayed by Dobes and everyone is like "the kid from Washington was skipped over for this guy?"

Their goalies are much better than Canada, but I think the defense is pretty good and a guy like Hill won the cup and did pretty well with a good defense in front of him.

just fall on your left hip then, or ask one of your students to kick you, you won't feel the pain in the right one as much. yw.
