Sure, they lack credibility at this point but the idea behind it makes sense.

I think they will go down to 7th or 8th, yes. Teams will turn it up one or two notches coming back...that's usually where the Habs get a better draft pick the past 2-3 years

Habs are already tied with Philly at 55pts in the standings for the 7th draft spot. 3pts ahead of the 5th overall.

are you referring to Evans using the past tense during an interview..? I thought that was a bit overblown and jumping to conclusions, but he could be moving on I guess.

They can do it. Just need to regroup and remember what worked so well in January.

Well that's part of it, but I give more weight to Pierre Lebrun saying the team and Evans sent contract offers and they're not close.

I've been in the "don't give him more than 3.5M per season" camp since the beginning, if he wants more money or too long a term, we're better off moving on from him.

And I like Evans, I wish he'd stick around but he needs to be paid like what he is, a bottom 6 centre with little offensive upside that's great on the pk.
