Yeah, I'll admit I'm not well read on my 1930s philosophical fiction

Unfortunate. A lot of it has relevance still and changed my view of the world. Times change for sure. But human nature is a lot slower to follow.

I’m sure Torts could get Petey back on his game.

Both Euros. They are not use to mean. Their play goes in the crapper once someone yells at them.

McD could have easily had 3 points. Watch for him against USA. GCG!

Lots of factors. LTI, Wingers, out of shape, coaching and hurt feelings. The road to recovery is very steep.

Oh so to be clear - you hate Petey and everything about him? Awesome, good to know. Had no idea how you felt. If you could include something about how much you hate him in every post or at least every second post from now on, that'd be wonderful.

Speaking of that mute button you want installed so badly, maybe take your own advice and start lobbying EK. I'm sure some other posters would find it useful!!

BUT I'm curious where you developed the ability to decipher when players have reached their ceiling? Do you have a Delorian or a friend named Biff?

Your talent for accessing how the rest of a players careers will pan out - regardless of age and despite what they've accomplished in previous years - is truly amazing!

I’m sure he’ll be better next game. He almost looked like he didn’t want to hog the spotlight. Man MacKinnon could have used that advice, that overtime was all him trying to do it alone.

It feels weird to cheer for certain players.
For me its McDavid, Marchand and Binnington.
Somehow Crosby is easy to support (maybe due to proximity).

Anyways.
Who do we think is getting the start in goal vs USA next?

Not LM I hope.
I’d start Hill and see what we have, Binnington didn’t earn the net last night.

Yup no group of posters in here ( the society) that get upset when you criticize Petey

Yeah, Binnington made some decent saves but I think you have to give one of the other guys a chance, absolutely do not trust him.

The bar has been set pretty low lately.

See if you can guess who this player is.

Canucks drafted this player in the top 10. He did not meet team expectations in the last year. He is good defensively in his own zone. Decent on puck battles. In the month of January he had around 5 points. He usually gets a SOG about every three games. He usually gets a point around every five games. He has one assist in the month of February.

The player I am inquiring about, is it EP40 or Vasily Podkolzin, or both?

Bump

I will ask again. Who is the player I am referring to? We have a wealth of EP40 experts in here, so who is it? EP Podkolzin or both?

Naw dude. My playing days are long behind me. I'll only come out of retirement for a chance to kick Lordy's ass. Otherwise I've got nothing left to prove.

I agree with you. They're courting disaster if they decide to run with Binnington. Island bias aside, Hill would be my choice next game as well.

He might be headed for another meltdown, might be best to just leave him be.

For a guy that wants to mute everyone, they sure do seem desperate for input.

Imo that's actually why you should use that game to experiment. See what works, make sure you beat Finland, then expect to play the US again in the final.

No society, none at all. I pretty well knew everyone who would take exception would be. Still three left, one only posts every two days so he may be late. This is why HB population stays at 15.

Yeah.
Good point.
The test will be how we play defensively as a whole against the firepower of the USA.

I'd drop the Podkolzin thing if I were you. The kid has 2 points in his last 10 games and is a -4. He's back to being a 4th liner that's hanging on by a thread.

Petey went from first line to third line last night and more than a few times with Tochett.

I think Petey has 2 points also in his last 10 games or close to it also. There really is not too much difference in their games. Take in to consideration all the PP time Petey gets compared to VP.
