That was a fun game. Canucks had jump all night. Petey showed up. Boeser found the net. Too bad Demko went down again & still plenty of season for it to happen 1 or more times. The new D corp has fit in seamlessly. Without Hughes & Willander only a matter of time idk if our D has ever looked in better shape. Built from the net out, other than Demko in & out, has the long term looking very good.

A sobering thought…

KC already getting the calls. The taint is smelling early.

If Hronek can keep up this level of play without Hughes, would probably make more sense to split them.

Sure isn’t much chatter in here on how well PA has gotten a ton of cap space. With how well the boys are turning it around after stinking & were still in the hunt this streak has them looking like a force. Idk if the 2 week break is good timing or not. Heal up some injuries certainly. Get away from it all hopefully is helpful.

Be nice if we could get some more coverage on the prospects during the interlude.

His 40 goal campaign is not likely to happen again and now on pace for maybe 60 points. Why lock him up long term when his skating will get worse with age and scoring? Doesn't make sense. He had a good run here but it's time to move on.

No, but I am just pointing out he is one of Canucks top goal scores on a reasonable contract. If he offers up a 6 mil contract I would keep him.

At this point I would move on IMO. Just me. Don't see a good scenario for him or the Canucks here longer term.
