You were continually posting his stats last year and admittedly hadn't even watched the game.
Oh wait, I must be making this up
Trade the fucker asap, so I can enjoy watching Canucks games again. - Reubenkincade
You were just proven wrong, yet again, so just go away with your lies and falsehoods. You don't like the player, so be it, waffling in your own misery isn't going to make one bit of difference.
He's not getting traded.... |

It sort of breaks down to:
Player who has a real bad year+ or so, looked like a shell of himself, but was also had a knee injury and locker room drama/bullying/whatever.
Versus
Player who won SHL Rookie of the Year, Forward of the Year, and playoff MVP. Then won the Calder after being drafted 5th overall. Then has played at pretty much a PPG clip for his NHL career, despite playing a whole trash year.
It's difficult to have those accolades and accomplishments while also having massive character defects. Depends on how much weight one gives this past year versus the entire body of work, and what one thinks that means going forward. - NewYorkNuck
True 100%
I'm bias on this player as he is not my type to build a team around. I may be giving him a way shorter leash then I should. But as they say Sports is a performance based business, and when you don't perform up to the standards expected and set, then the knives come out.
And to be clear, this is not a Swede thing. If the skill, size and fight in the dog are there, I will support any player regardless of nationality. Especially if the Swede is a Foresberg / Sundin type center at 26 years old |

This is why I don't read his blogs, it's the equivalent to flies to shit.
I'm sure you have to in order to pass your weekly loyalty quiz so that you can maintain your credentials here. - Marwood
But yet you were the first to post in Ek's blog....

If you roll the dice and he doesn't return to an 80+ point player, you've still got a very good player on your hands, sure it's bad money on the table but it's not like he doesn't do anything to help the franchise. I could pick 20 franchises right now that have bad money on their books, doesn't make it right, but it's also not out of the norm.
The Canucks can still win with a bad contract on their payroll. I'd rather pay Petey to play and score 60+ points while being a good responsible player than pay OEL 5 million dollars to not play for the club at all. - Pacificgem
Don't bring up OEL
That was the stupidest trade of all time. |

Not liking him is one thing, but to go on, and on, and on, about it incessantly, like Reuby, is comical. Truthfully, I kind of enjoy Reuby's misery, it makes me happy in a strange sort of way to see him so unhappy all the time. |

I don't go on and on.
I post quite rarely, and only on Petey after there are posts on the board and after issues of his struggles present themselves, (IE 4 Nation Thingy no show and demotion.) |

Dewalt has also slipped a bit in recent years. There are better and more reliable tools out there for the price. I like to pay for quality, not some overpriced tool that may or may not let you down when it's needed most. |

These were so old they all still had cords attached to them. I sold them all before I left Victoria for the motherland, the United States of America. (just so you know, that's a trigger post for suckers, don't fall for it)
I just buy Ryobi now, you can get a bag full of those down here at Lowes for $199 dollars, if something breaks just go buy another one, they're so cheap. |

None of this is true, even remotely. Also, Petey is a puck distributor, more often than not players are the benefactor of him either passing to them or creating space for them.
Petey had 21 points in 13 games in January of 2024, 14 goals 7 assists. 9 even strength goals and 5 power play goals...4 even strength assists and 3 power play assists. His shooting percentage was 34%, which is unsustainable, but he was shooting the puck, something he's not doing now.
January 15th to the end of the month the team played six games, he had 7 points in those six games, 5 goals 2 assists.
For the month of February he had 11 points in 13 games, he injured his wrist again if you look back at some of the highlights you can see it was taped up again, he had 2 goals and 7 assists. His shooting percentage went down to 7.7% because he stopped shooting the puck.
March he had 9 points in 11 games, 4 goals (2 EV 2 PP) and 5 assists (4 EV 1 PP) he started to shoot again, his shooting percentage climbed back up to 14.1%, which is more normal.
April is where he started to have issues again, his shooting percentage fell off a cliff again (6.3%) and his knee started hampering him. - Pacificgem

Honestly, Victoria is turning into an overpriced shi thole. I had to park a street over from where I usually park for the Royals game yesterday due to a homeless encampment. It was set up over the curb and onto the street. I get that there's a bunch of mitigating circumstances but literally on a public road a couple blocks from VicPD? Come on. |

How could you enjoy a game? You hate every player, management and everything/move the team does. Why do you keep torturing yourself?

You don't have to tell me, we left in March of 2021, I'd stopped going downtown a couple years before that. It's a complete disaster down there, it's a shame really. Victoria was a nice town when I was a kid.
In fact, we just had a couple from Victoria down visiting us, he told me "don't move home, it's turned into an expensive, overcrowded, poop-hole"... his exact words. |

Believe me, when I see stupid posts about on pace for, or how someone like #40 has had a good game because they got some phantom points or an irrelevant 2nd assists, on and on and on, I will voice my opinion on said player, especially if I don't believe you win with that player, just like I do in this case. |
