Rangers need one more major trade and it’s just a question of when they do it, this year or next year. I think Laf is next to go. Rangers are unimpressed with the Kid Line as it was. We can hate it and dwell on it, but maybe it just didn’t work here and it’s time to move on

Yea I think he’s ideal. I’d even do straight up Byram for laf

I'm super unimpressed with Laf this year, especially his response to getting the contract and not being picked for team Canada. But I don't think there's much chance they trade him any time soon. Need to keep some continuity and youth in the org

A) just way too big
B) creates a hole at RD a logjam at LD
C) cozens yikes. You think lafs been disappointing since signing. And He’s signed for a looooooong time

If Laf thought he had a chance at being on Team Canada, he's taking some REALLY good drugs. Jarvis is about the only one who isn't a 100% established star. And he's been way more consistent than Alexis in his career thus far.

If Laf thought he had a chance at being on Team Canada, he's taking some REALLY good drugs. Jarvis is about the only one who isn't a 100% established star. And he's been way more consistent than Alexis in his career thus far.

Laf was in the conversation for it at the start of the season. I'd say he was actually more often on the team than Jarvis in the mock roster projections that I saw, but they were in the same category. As soon as the season started though and he didn't build on last season, it was obvious he wouldn't be on it when they got around to naming the team

Maybe you could get Power for Laf. I’m not opposed to trading Laf but I want a good young foundational dman for him. Bonafide top D pair guy

Just ride it out with this team, sell smith and Lindgren at the deadline so Othmann can get a look. You need to see if he can play at this level before next year. Then go to town this summer with more trades moving out the old core.
