Sweden seemed star-struck in the 1st period, then made one hell of a game out of it!! That had to be EXACTLY the start to the tourney that the league was looking for.

Eh --- not really impressed by the "B" team that Canada assembled. I mean if they struggled with the Swedes while on home ice, Team USA is going to CRUSH them!

26-0 - Canada's record in international play with Sidney Crosby in the lineup since a preliminary round loss in 2010 olympics

Whatever.
All I know is that there is a very good chance that game Saturday night is going to display the greatest hockey any of us have seen in over 20 years!!!
The US definitely has the best team on paper. But, Canada is used to having the best team ON ICE!! The pride, the heart and the crowd will all conspire to make sure there is no crushing. I expect a very close and entertaining match up!!  |
