No one hates the kid -- they hate the fact that the team passed on a very good player who has the tools to be a 1D, The Room Jr™ is likely to be a slightly more offensive The Room™

Has there ever been a more overrated intangible player in Flyers history?

For those Luchanko haters:

Jett Luchanko (C, Guelph Storm)

The Flyers' 2024 first-round pick played an outstanding offensive game on Saturday despite a wild 10-7 loss by Luchanko's Guelph Storm club to the Saginaw Spirit. Guelph trailed 5-0 and were outshot 20-6 through the first period. Amid the multiple comeback bids by Guelph, 18-year-old team captain Luchanko scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season while setting up taillies by Ryan McGuire and Charlie Paquette. Luchanko won 15 of 22 faceoffs and managed to finish on the positive side of the plus/minus ledger despite the deluge of goals from the opposing club.

In 27 games played this season for Guelph, Luchanko has averaged 1.33 points per game (15 goals, 21 assists, 36 points). Keep in mind that the Storm (15-27-7) are a rebuilding team at the bottom of the Western Conference. Despite missing 22 of Guelph's 49 games played to date, Luchanko is second on the team in points and by far the team's points-per-game leader.

asf is no different than the hacks at csn - he is basically a mouthpiece for the team

I'll watch because it's the only hockey on right now. That said, it's just a replacement for the All Star game. Are the players going to play like it's an AS game and try not to get hurt? Or will they play for the pride of winning? Probably a mix of the two with more AS style play to start but more competitive toward the end. We'll see.

Fake tournament without mother Russia. Need to stop excluding the Russians.
- furio16

Agree on this. This is not an international tournament, it is an NHL tournament. And the Russian NHL players should be able to participate.

On another note, Furio16 caught a BAN for the above post. I've been here non stop since 2006, banned once for responding to a banned post. I was a season ticket holder for years until the moderating (and sometimes the lack thereof) became ridiculous to non existent depending on how many personal issues the moderator had with the poster in question. To get banned for saying Russia should have been included is ridiculous.

And that's all I have to say about that.
