Q: Whats the difference between Canadians and Americans?

A: Canadians know the difference.

90 million Americans were too lazy or disinterested to vote. IMO, none of them are allowed to female dog about the outcome.

I've said it before, the way I see the division in America is : the country is split into thirds, not halves.

One third are pro-MAGA.
One third are anti-MAGA
One third are (frank)ing apathetic phucktards who will go along with whoever wins as long as their bellies are full.

That's my two cents. Actual worth may vary.

or just perhaps the imo stupid rules from preventing people to vote.
ie. If you are in a voting line in Georgia, someone cannot give you a bottle water to drink. it's againt the LAW!!!

True, there was some disenfranchisement shenanigans going on. But, a ton of people were still too apathetic to vote in a very important election. And I've heard the argument about being tired of being forced to choose the lesser of two evils, but that ignores the many downballet races and referendums and local races and ballot measures.

Too many people looked at the situation and just said "(frank) it" and couldn't even be bothered to vote by mail. That's unacceptable. I didn't mean the people who wanted to vote, but were actively discouraged.

Harris - 75,017,626 (48.33%)

Trump- 77,301,997 (49.8%)

I said AA wanted what’s best for less than 50% of Americans

That last comment is very insulting

Millions of mail-in ballots weren’t counted.

And if you’re black or Asian your ballot being thrown out is 4x more likely.

At any rate, Jewelsie will come along any minute now and cast the cold hard light of reason and expertise on these issues in such a way that even us Marxists will be able see through our delusions to grasp them correctly. 😆

Cool.

I know a couple from AB.. it’s a small world in aviation.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

It really is. Speaking of mid-air collisions, I flew with a guy a few times that died in one. Good dude. Was also out flying once and heard a near collision over the radio, only saved by TCAS. TCAS was rare at the time in general aviation. Dangerous business.

Yikes.

So far nothing crazy has happen since I’ve been working here. Once a tire blew on a Basler and it skidded off the runway. But no serious damage.

Yep. Happened before I got here. I think it’s the one that crashed into a lake near Sachigo. I’m always picking parts off it hahah. They’re fun to fly in. I made a YT video of landing one on an ice runway.

I got to do a lot of fun flying, but my one regret is that I never got to fly a Twin Otter, or something similarly as cool.

At the risk of sounding like I am ripping off Quint’s soliloquy in Jaws, here goes:

In the mid-1990s, I did development work in the former Soviet Bloc.

One warm summer evening, a couple of guys my age from our local partner and their friends took me to see the local telecommunications tower in Vilnius, Lithuania. There was an observation deck, and I think we bought beers up there (I could be wrong on that fact).

Anyhoo, there were crosses outside. It had been a significant spot in the Singing Revolution, where the Baltic States had won their independence. Lithuanians had sought to protect it and other important buildings during a Soviet crackdown in 1991.

I knew all this - I had followed it while in University. But here I was, and these kids my age were describing it, because they were there. They were woefully unprepared - the Red Army crashed through crowds that were merely linking arms. 14 people died. One of the kids I was with’s dad lost his hearing permanently after being hit in the head with the butt of a rifle.

It was the most humbling experience of my life. These kids my age had put there lives on the line for the dream of freedom and democracy. What the hell had I ever done?

Quint may never wear a life jacket again, but you can be damn sure I will vote in every election for the rest of my life. To not do so would just seem insulting.

Only because you asked...

Wrong again.
68million is not more than half of Americans.
Weird how 10m dems didnt vote from previous election.

He wants whats best for the world.

- Fakepartofme

Weird how Biden got more votes than Obama but 10 million disappeared this time...

It's almost like printing universal mail-in ballots makes it easier to harvest a bunch of votes that wouldn't otherwise be cast.

Why do you need to be so disrespectful?
I said please

I also have the right to disapprove of Trudeau, since he is currently destroying my livelihood

Illegally shut down our industry, forced us to go to Supreme Court to overturn decision. All in a selfish attempt to sway voters from the NDP and Green.

You do realize that all of Musk, Rogan, Tulsi etc. were all liberal/democrats until they went so radical left wing

I am not tied to any political party
4C 💙

- mr.sir

Sorry you had to deal with the left wing lock all alone.

He will not realize that rational left wing people were forced to leave the party because the left has gone so far off the deepend. Most people they scream at and call fascist or Nazis are people that have simply stood still politically as the radicals have taken over the left wing parties (by design through the WEF and NGOs).

These guys are not the sharpest tools in the shed. They look at Trump, a 90s Democrat who is basically the same as Clinton on most policies, and they scream Hitler. Now that he's fixing the country, they scream fascism. Even though he's shrinking the government, not expanding it. They simply do not understand what is happening or what they are talking about.

Attacking DEI is just a way to convince people that the only reason that they’re unemployed or underemployed is because one of “them” (fill in any them you hate) was parachuted into a job you should have had. It’s not any different than going on about immigrants stealing your jobs or killing your kids or lynching blacks in the 60’s for looking the wrong way at a white woman.

DEI is much more than hiring practices and when it comes to hiring, it usually means expanding your recruitment processes to bring in candidates that might not normally apply.

- Canada Cup

Attacking DEI is absolutely necessary to get the western world back on track and to purge the institutions of this idiotic cult like adherence to cultural Marxism.

It has nothing to do with hating groups of people and everything to do with hating the idea of hiring people based on anything other than their qualifications to be the best possible person for the job.

Wrong again. DEI is about hiring people to "correct historical inequities". It's cultural Marxism. It's a passive aggressive redistribution of wealth. It's about hiring people based on race, sex, orientation and any other DEI criteria they can muster instead of hiring the best possible person for the job.

Using DEI hiring practices is just as stupid and just as racist as your classic KKK ideology of hiring only whites. Nobody should be disqualified from being hired for any reason other than their competency and being the best possible person for the job.

Millions of mail-in ballots weren’t counted.

Believe it or not, Canada has similar laws. You aren’t allowed to do any type of campaigning outside of voting locations.

The simple solution would be for non-partisan groups running the elections (i,e., Elections Canada or Elections Ontario) to hand out water.

But alas, US elections don’t have non-partisan bodies to run elections. The incumbent parties run them. It’s franking looney tunes.

But the freedom and lack of stress that come from living here is hard to describe.

I will happily grow old here. I found my forever home.
