you were unlucky Pete, they do make some pretty good ones. no cab though, unlike Chile, Argentina, Spain and France.

yeah, Amarone are quite different. try a Barolo if you have a chance. or a good Chianti for less $.

port wine between 18% and 20%.
Amarone are often at 15% or 16%. quite different from a regular red wine.
