when i did it i started with like 20 minutes or something for the first week or so because life becomes pretty sedentary as you get older so i figured muscles will be sore if i go from work computer to 45 minutes of pedaling right off the bat.

Yeah, we've considered getting an elliptical... looked at a few, but have not been able to agree on which one. Which is sort of a win for me, but it is only a matter of time before a decision is imposed upon me...

it's worth it. you just feel better. since i've stopped exercising on a regular schedule i just feel sluggish or something by comparison.

I bought an echo bike, this winter and I've used it a bunch. It's really the best cardio machine, full body workout and great for cardio.

Are bikes hard on knees?

I guess a Ski erg would the best for knee pains because it's mostly upper body but it would be hard to motivate myself on it.

A rower might be good, elliptical also probably there's not really a knee flexion but I've always felt goofy on those.
