S’t’un suiveux…he can’t drive a line. Very skilled and expensive.

But they aren’t moving him.

Matheson and Savard I think are gone

Now I don't mean to single you out by saying this, because Martin Lemay said the same thing on the radio this week and I couldn't believe it.

Since the year 2000, if Caufield remains on his current pace:

He'd have the most goals by any Canadiens player in a single season with 38 (beating Pacioretty's 37 in 2014-15.

Tie Max Domi for the 4th most points by a Canadiens player with 72.

He's currently 41st in the league in points, 12th in goals, while being the 53rd highest paid forward in the league.

Nothing, and I mean nothing about his play and production this season implies he's overpaid compared to what he's bringing on the ice.

He just turned 24 and has only gotten better every season he played so far.

Is he perfect? No.

Is he a very, very good player? Yes. Aboslutely. And we must keep him, or we'll spend the next 10 years "looking for a goal scorer".

Hey we had that great plan of hoping our goaltender would "Carey" us to the cup by winning every games 1-0 or 2-1 OK?

It almost worked twice in 25 years!

The fact that the Leafs are over a century old and they only have two guys who hve ever won a Hart Trophy is still so sad. Habs having the weirdest run of goalies is pretty amazing. Even when they weren't winning it all, there was some pretty nutty poop.

In the last 12 months, CC has become a much more complete player and a better playmaker.

Who cares if he is getting goals or assists - in either case, we got a goal.
