Is your bass an expensive model?

If not, the higher-end models are balanced so that body counterweights the neck. So when you put it around you it sits as it should be played. You also have to the strap adjusted to help this further in some cases.

i got it in a cooler color called soda blue but a knob was wonky. when i went to return it only the yellow was available but i liked that too so i did it.
