Im not convinced on trading Dach.
When Caufield came back after his injury his season was disappointing, and we were questioning his big contract yet this year he is doing very well.
I am willing to see how Dach is next year after missing a whole year before trading him.

I'd also give him at least one more season.

I am not in the "trade Dach" camp, but if he is part of a deal/package to get a significant upgrade, I am OK with that move.

the issue I have with Dach is it's been ALL about potential even when he was in Jrs. He has shown flashes but never constancy.

IMO, they would only move him in a package for what they would perceive as an improvement. Would Cousins fit the bill, I don't know but he at least had one great season in the nhl. Cousins is not injury prone so far, that's also plus but he is signed at 7M/yr for 5 more years

Yeah, want to get out and do some stuff over the weekend.

Has been so cold the last 3 weeks or so, I have barely been outside to do anything other than a short walk here or there to get fresh air or run some errands.

This is my line of thinking as well when it comes to Dach. When will he start to show improvement, consistency, scoring, grit, willingness, etc etc.

Since juniors until now...he's 23. I think this is what Dach is (when he's not injured). Can't win every trade. They moved on from Barron after they realized they made a miscalculation. Time to do the same with Dach.

Trade him while he still has that faint air of "potential" left.

Just saying it would be a fairly complex trade, easier in the summer with less cap considerations/constraints.

Isles are right up on the cap and Dobson is only a $4M cap hit.
