not sure the experiment is over. Dach still has 2y to go on his current deal, Habs will surely give him the chance to prove he can be useful somewhere else in the lineup.
that being said, I have no doubt they will look for a legit #2C asap probably have already started. counting on Dach to be the solution would be delusional imo. even when being 100% healthy.

He has next year left and the Dach at #2 centre experiment is over. His health will prevent him from becoming anything significant in the NHL.

Let's be honest, he's -29, made of glass and looks completely disinterested out there.

Time to move on. Can't wait another 3 years for his so-called potential.

We agree on a couple of things regarding him.

So move on as to trade him or buy him out?

yeah, I guess what I'm saying is that Dach's value has never been so low. they might as well give him time and hope he'll bounce back.
but they cannot bet on that and have to get a legit #2C this summer, either via a trade or on the UFA market.

No buy-out. Not worth it with his current cap hit and only 1 retention spot left until July.
See how he does as a winger and see how he does next season and trade him or let him walk as his value is an integer at this point. It really sucks, i was about to buy his jersey before last season. Dodged a bullet there.

I'm sure Demidov can. But not at 19, 20, 21 years old. Need a stop gap at the very least until then.

Look at it this way...Owen Beck has turned Laine into a 5v5 point getter in 2 games! Doesn't Laine have like 5 points in the last 2 games playing with Beck?

Anything but this. Please! Unless he signes for below league minimum. No reason to keep a youg player out of the lineup and developing for Captain Beige....

The last one i bought since Cammelleri was Suzuki pre-Captain era. I probably wont buy anymore as players are moved and its a waste of money.

Probably why i didn't pull the trigger on the final sale. lol
