So glad we have a goalie locked up at 11.5 per for the next 8 years. That will age beautifully

I agree. Got blasted for saying we shouldn’t have signed him, but seriously, if he’s going to be paid as the best goalie, he better show up more consistently than this.

It is also the WHOLE team being feckless and listless. Everyone.

Sabres 5 - Rangers 4-(Shots On Goal at one point late in the 1st), prior to being outshot 15-8 overall after One, & being shutout of course.

Most unusual stats on the first 3 of 5 Sabres goals scored:
A total of only 2 Assists credited to the Sabres.

If all this doesn't depict a team that needs first to fire Drury, Laviolette, & the entire coaching staff, then nothing ever will.

Dolan the dribbling basketball airhead should be talking to Adam Graves to assist him with the above to start, (IF DOLAN EVER CARES ONE IOTA!)

Dolan doesn't give a darn, unless his Knickerbockers continue to prove they can't be relied on to defeat those who they will have to beat to earn him some playoff revenue.

Yeah, but he’s not playing well either, and IMO, not worth being paid as the highest paid goalie. You gotta show up, even if your team doesn’t. Top players show up, even if your team doesn’t.

Henrik always did. So many times the team came out flat and he weathered the storm and held them in. Team sucks in front but igor needs to make a few saves. Get paid and it's time for accountability

Henrik has never had such a bad team in front of him. Not close. Not even after the letter went out. This is putrid. The cap is going through the roof and Igor is a top goalie in the league.

Leadership, heart, passion. Previous Rangers teams had their flaws for sure, but the question of heart was not the predominant one.
This team, that is the predominant issue. Core needs to go.
I do not agree with trading Laf, he isn't the core yet. Krieder, Zib, Trot and Trouba (was).

The thing is theres very little we can do. We have nothing in the pipeline defensively, which is where we need the most help.

I really am wondering what is going on with Fox. He was uninspiring in the 4 nations tourney, and he continues to be very uninterested.

The thing is, what is LAF doing that makes you think "oh, we gotta hold onto him"?

At this point, Id purge pretty much anything I can to get Brady.

08-09 leading point scorers were zheredev and gomez with 58. Leading goal scorer was naslund. Lundqvist carried that squad and took them to game 7 versus caps. We had redden rosvial and dmriti kalin on d

Well, we know Verbeek loves ex Ranger’s - and we have a lot of D prospects and players…

Could we make a deal for Perrault, Zibanejad for Jackson LaCombe, Noah Warren and a 2nd round pick ??

You don’t keep any salary -

I mean, they are pretty awful so not disagreeing there lol. Sad thing is, little can change with all these NMC drury handed out. And he has traded a lot of picks on top of it.

It's not even the fact that he needs to play better and be more consistent (he does), it's the fact they paid ANY goalie that much for that long. The data is clearly moving teams in the opposite direction - prioritize elite talent down the middle of the ice and on defense, pay your goalie appropriately but don't overvalue such a fickle and team-defensive-performance position. I don't think it's a total disaster with the cap going up so much these next few years, but I do think it will hamstring us a bit whenever we're actually contending again in the next 5 years with the margins between teams so slim.

If I was Verbeek and I was looking to take Mika’s full contract, that’s who I’d be asking for…

Basically it’s Jackson LaCombe for Gabe Perrault,

then Noah Warren and a second for Mika -

Hard pass. And Mika’s not going to SJ. And SJ has 2 franchise centers.
