If Kreider is out for gods sake call up Othmann. They need some juice, kind of like Rempe was last year. Especially next game vs the islanders

You can’t be seriously happy with this team and the way they performed. Great they got 2 point but this team s*cks

The only person who’s not physically repulsed by this team as far as I can tell is tj

I’m repulsed yea. I can admit they suck yea. But I can also believe if they make the playoffs it’s a whole new season and I wouldn’t wanna play us

It’s truly flattering that this bothers people so much

They could still sell and make the playoffs btw. Because they don’t have any bonafide star rentals that hurt the lineup really (ie-Guentzel last year for the Pens). You could make the argument that they may get better trading our UFAs. That would be the perfect scenario for this season. Lose the pick that’s in the low 20s won’t kill us too bad and we’ll pick up some draft picks

So we got that going for us

Its gonna take something outrageous to change the mentality of this team right now. Just firing Lavy is not enough.

It’s just crazy how virtually every player is having a worse season than last year. Even Breadman has been meh at times

Just have to hope they make it and a switch goes off. They do play entitled this year tho, like it’s just supposed to happen without max effort/passion. That’s the most alarming thing to me

If they atleast fought and looked like a team that was playing for each other, and looked like a team that seemed to be in the right head space... but for some unlucky reason had picked up more losses then they deserved. Id be there with you.

But this team literally does not look like they play together, every game feels like its the first time they've played together. They look disoriented. Passes here and there with no one there. Players skating into each other on a regular basis, with massive positioning lapses.

To be fair the whole season has been a cluster(frank), with drama/trades etc. Once they righted the ship kind of, the 4 nations break happens. I think thats what we saw this weekend. Islander game will say a lot maybe they realize they escaped with two pts today and will light the fire they need

The 3rd periods are a good sign at least, they’ve won 4 games recently simply be winning the 3rd period

The last 4 wins (Vegas, Boston, CBJ and Pitt) they’ve outscored 10-2 in the 3rd period

That’s a good sign in a season of very few good signs.

Now to not play 60 minutes damn near every game isn’t helping matters haha

They also lost to the Pens on home ice when they didnt have Sid or Malkin playing.

Bread was expected to go to his bone sfter a career year. His defensive play and effort is abysmal tho

The defense play seems contagious this year, with the forwards. The D corp and goalies have been left out to dry alot of time

If the miracle happens and they make it, I want this lineup in game one

Panarin - Miller - Laf
Othmann - Trocheck - Cuylle
Kreider - Zib - Perrault or Berard
Edstrom - Carrick - Rempe
Kaliyev/JBrod

Someone new - Fox
Miller - Borgen
Urho - Schneider
Brannstrom

Trade: Smith, Vesey, Lindgren and Jones.

I’m assuming either or both, Berard and Othmann, get the call up and stick, and Perrault signs so at least they all get some playoff experience.

I think he’s fine for this year. He’s a good option for the 7th D next season. He won’t get paid much

That lineup suggests they sold at the TDL and made the playoffs which I’d be thrilled with, personally. Just wonder what they do on 1LHD, it’s an eye sore without someone pretty good in over Lindgren

Remember all that PLD hates guys gave me? “Locker room cancer” etc. Hes on a 1st place WSH team, is a +23 and has 48 pts in 57 games. He’s EXACTLY who we needed in the off-season, not Rielly Smith

You seriously think that would translate over to NY with the toxicity that envelopes this team?

Its easy when everything is going well and youre winning games.
