Are you talking about the 4 goals in 3 games Pontus Holmberg?
- Whipper

That’s what playing with Wilkybwilm do for you

Now if our Marner led Penalty kill could get better….

It was 3-0 at the halfway point. It was 4-3 with a minute left.

Nylander with only 21:21 of ice time tonight. Sure hope he picks up his game so Berube starts playing him.
- jribout

Looks like he hurt his wrist or hand....most likely why he didnt play in OT.

He’s really trying to show he can be a 3/4C in the playoffs. The little guys are battling.

What I would give for Sam Bennet.. Nylander for starters. Straight up.

Bennet Matthews Marner
Knies Tavares McMann
Domi Schenn Patches
Robertson Holmberg Lorentz
Minten

Rielly Parayko
Tanev McCabe
OEL Benoit
Myers

Stolarz
Woll

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Big surprise, you would give up Nylander?
Come on.

I like bennet, but I feel like his contract (specially if its a leafs overpay contract) will not age well.
But I dont see florida letting him go, unless he wants too much

I happened across a comment from a very happy Habs fan on January 17th (on the Athletic) where he was telling everyone that come spring they'd be eating their words because the Habs were 11-2-1 in their last 14 . . . and while you'd love to pile on a guy for it, this is the life of a sports fan. The epic highs and the epic lows.

Like we haven't felt that the Leafs are finally putting it together. Looking good. Playing strong. This is a championship team - only to watch them play against the worst team in the league with their only good player out due to the flu that's been ravaging the locker room. Both goalies collided in the warm-up and they're forced to start the EBUG who's actually the mascot who can barely see through the eye slots in the head and his legs are so thick that you have to strap both pads on 1 leg. And somehow we lose that game 3-1.

But I did wonder how the Habs had been since - and it's not great - something like 5-8-1 - but since December 29th the Detroit Red Wings have been an absolute wagon. The whole Atlantic has been excellent:

Detroit (1) 17-4-2
Toronto (5) 14-7-0
Florida (8) 13-8-1
Tampa (12) 13-9-2 * Have won 6 straight
Buffalo (13) 11-8-1
Montreal (15) 12-9-2
Ottawa (16) 11-9-2

Oh yeah.

Boston (29) 7-10-4

The funny thing there is that the Leafs are 5th and gained 0 points on Tampa due to Tampa making up games in hand. They gained 1 point on Florida. In order to make up ground in this division you have to play like an otherworldly machine - Detroit has made up 8 points on Toronto and Tampa and 7 on Florida. The still sit 8 back of Toronto with 24 games to go . . . if the Wings can continue to put up a top-6 all-time winning percentage over that period . . .

But see above.

Pulled a Mitchell out of their asses and stole one from the Boourns.

If Tanev is gone long-term, we are in trouble.

Nylander's probably ok, he's a sturdy viking hard body stud.

Detroit goes on that tear and are only a couple games above the cut line after all that, cause the standings are tighter than a duck's backside.

I am intrigued by the possibility of a Centre of Hockey Universe vs. Hockeytown playoff round. That's always fun.

So, what did I miss?

Was having a rough day yesterday, so I stayed offline and went touch grass (and smoked some).

Holmberg > Matthews

Boston choking on infected Richards is always a mood booster.

Vasilevskiy is back to form. That's bad news for every other team.

Marner is the Alpha and Omega.

Is Drexel still AWOL?

I need to order a Leafs shirt or jersey to properly represent to the hillbillies down here.

Bring on Jenner and the trades....

Yeah, it's a bit closer to the OG stuff, but they lost their edge and got really soft and squishy.
