Would much rather get Parayko but if they can get him to agree to an extension, I would take him and let Tavares walk as a UFA for sure.

But as a rental, not sure it makes sense. If the Leafs spend future assets, picks, prospects etc. it needs to be for a player who doesn't leave as a UFA. And Rantanen might want to be a UFA no matter what team he lands on.
