For me, Matthews has more than 25% blame on that last goal - it's more 75% on Matthews and 25% on Woll to me.
Matthews had stick position on the Penguin and thought he could go to the other side and get a stick check - giving the Panguin player a free path to the net uncontested and Woll didn't make the save they needed.
Poor decision making on that one by Mathews and his goalie didn't bail him out - which isn't surprising the way Woll has looked today. Woll isn't bailing anyone out today and they really they need to win this for him vs expecting him to win it for them.
Pond hockey - last shot wins this one.
OEL looks terrible defensively today, handling the puck like a hand grenade. |
